Why oh why oh why did we bother going to the UN in the first place?

Because W wanted to strip it naked and put it on stage for the whole world to see. Now everyone (or at least those who wish to see) realizes that the emperor has no clothes. It's been excruciating and maddening, but the end result has been the unmasking of the UN, as well as the unmasking of enemies who had been masquerading as friends. Bush has smoked them out. Now he's also got them on the run.

Blix and his sidekick have consistently looked to refute our claims, and call our intelligence bad or made up.

Exactly. Our intelligence discovers certain things that Saddam has, then Blix says our intelligence is either faulty or we are lying. Then, on top of that, he hides the proof that our intelligence is correct and that we are telling the truth.

We knew about Saddam's drones. Powell spoke of them on 2/5. But Blix discounted Powell's assertions. One can assume, if you want to give Blix the benefit of the doubt, that he hadn't discovered any drones and doubted they existed. But now, a month later, it turns out that Blix damn well knew about the drones and that he swept the knowledge of them under the rug!

It's one thing to be called a liar by someone who refuses to believe you. It's far worse to be called a liar by someone who KNOWS you're telling the truth, and who then lies to others and turns them against you. Blix must have learned this tactic from Klintoon.

And the UN knows that. And that is why we see this huge, diabolical plan to wreck our economy, subvert our government using the fifth column, and even expose us to attack from terrorists. If we won't submit willingly, then they'll try to force us to submit, using any means available. When they say they're trying to stop a war, they are the biggest liars and hypocrites in the world, because the truth is they are already waging war against us on many different fronts.

It most certainly is. And that's the crux of what's happening in the world right now. There are many layers and many levels to what's going on in this battle at the UN, but at the very heart of it is Saddam's plan to destroy Israel. That's what his WMDs are primarily for. It's his life's goal. And the entire Left has mobilized to run interference for him, and prevent us from stopping him, because they want him to carry out that mission.

IMHO, this battle we wage is much more than what we can see/touch/feel. All the nations have come together and are engaged in a spiritual battle, as well.

Do not think that God is not watching this play out.....watching which nations align themselves with evil, for which they will be judged by the Supreme Judge of ALL peoples.

Blix has now proven that he has aligned himself with those whose interests are not for good. I do not believe what he has done in the past, and continues to do still, he has done as a mere rogue. Blix has conspired with the enemy to make false proclamations to the world. Blix is part of something much more dangerous and deceitful behind the scenes. There is a force at work here, at it is not for good.

By lying, Blix has committed a fatal "mistake." His words shall condemn him and they are the tool by which we shall all see judgment come upon him and upon all nations with which he conspired to do evil. This I believe.

I re-watched the video of Secretaries Powell and Straw and didn't see anything outside of what I mentioned in your prior post.

A side note: I received a warm welcome when I first posted here. As someone from a totally Democratic family with a totally Democratic best friend, I rarely have a chance to express my views without getting shouted down and told my beliefs are wrong. My blessing is having a loving and conservative Republican husband and daughter.

Rumsfeld Describes Threat of Iraq's Drones and Bioterror

Iraq's chemical and biological weapons are far more advanced now than during the Gulf War, and its remote-controlled planes are a threat to Americans, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld warned today.

Smallpox, anthrax and other biochemical threats are "more lethal and dangerous" and present a much greater threat than in 1991, he said in a speech to the Hoover Institution.

Describing the risk posed by smallpox, he referred to the Dark Winter exercise conducted with Johns Hopkins University. In this simulation, with anthrax placed in three locations in the U.S., within months deaths numbered in the hundreds of thousands, potentially a million.

He confirmed U.S. intelligence that Iraq could launch a chemical or biological attack on American cities through remote-controlled "drone" planes.

"They are perfectly capable of being equipped with spraying an aerosol-type capabilities. They can today with global position systems, GPS, and the kinds of maps that one can buy readily, these types of things can be purchased and used and guided and directed with great precision and capable of dispensing those kinds of weapons," he said.

"They do exist. We know that Iraq has a number of so-called UAVs, unmanned aerial vehicles, of different types, that they train with them and exercise them."

Rumsfeld said the planes could go "hundreds of kilometers," guided or preprogrammed.

And don't expect the U.S. to copy greedy, unilateralist France and Germany in exploiting Iraq for oil. If there is a war, the United States intends for Iraq's oil resources to be "operated and sold for the benefit of the Iraqi people," he said.

North Korea's Nuclear Threat

As for North Korea, he said he had no doubt the communist dictatorship would try to sell its nuclear material "to the highest bidder."

Rumsfeld said North Korea soon could build an additional six to eight nuclear weapons and sell that technology to other nations or terrorists.

The defense secretary warned that in five to 20 years, the number of nations in the nuclear club could be double, "not a pretty picture."

Totally agree....and this truth is leaking out...but only very, very slowly.

IMO, ultimately the MaxistSocialistLiberalDemos are going to be right about this war being about oil & money. Only thing is...it's the French, and the Germans..that are conspiring for it. I suspect they will be falling all over themselves to manufacture "cover" for their actions...in the near future.

I am reading this thread and am stunned by the UN treachery and the report duplicity and just catching up on all of this.

But regarding the above. I am not vouching for Ethyl because I don't think FR has been around for 8 years, BUT, I found FR in September 1997 as a link off of Drudge's page labeled "Whitewater Files". I remember when it was announced on FR they were going to start having those who wish to post register, so it existed for several months before registration dates will show.
