Powell did not know about the drone discovery when he addressed UN SC
MSNBC | 3/8/03 | self

Posted on 03/08/2003 3:56:36 PM PST by snooker

MSNBC just had a short clip about the Iraqi drone that the London Times wrote about. It seems that...

the copy of the classified UN document that Powell was reading from when he gave his SC talk did not include the pages referring to the chemical spraying drone that the UN had recently discovered.

Blix said the copy Powell had was only a draft.

Yeah right. Both the draft and Blix's speech overlooked one of the most significant discoveries by the inspectors. Iraq has an previously unknow program to develop chemical srpaying drones.

As far as I am concerned Blix should quit now. He stacked the deck at a critical time.

My question is why? Why are France, Germany, Russia, Blix, and the rest joining in to perpetrate this fraud? That is all this comes down to now, fraud. Think about the organizers of the so called peace marches, think about those who compare Bush to Hitler, think about grown men claiming that Iraq is cooperating, all evidence to the contrary. Think about that smarmy French guy flying all over the world this weekend to look for no votes. What is going on? (I have my theories, but I am interested in others thoughts.)

I hope Secretary Rumsfeld has spent the weekend and will continue repeatedly speed-dialing Secretary Powell reminding him how badly he got played. Keep him up all night so he is really cranky tomorrow. I'm sure he won't do it but if he were to put the stars back on, I want him in a really bad mood. Maybe he wouldn't be so quick to apply the brakes like he did in Gulf War I.

I'm watching this. I wonder if I could order multiple couples of this to secretly mail to some of my Leftist relatives. Perhaps we should get up a fund to send a copy to Streisand, Glover, Garafalo, and Daschle....with a note that says: "Thought you'd want to learn more about your hero."

Be sure to watch the second one, Saddam's Arsenal. Even with all we know, it scared me to death.

Can you believe this -- I am not sure the word livid for Powell would suffice.

Blix needs to not only resign but be tried for concealing information that could be detrimental to our troops and gives aid and comfort to Saddam!

Time for the US to tell the UN Security Council to get lost!

Blix should face a UN firing squad. Oh, I forgot -- no one in the UN knows how to fire a gun.

Watch the next one, Saddam's Arsenal. It will scare the living hell out of you.

Thanks again Howlin. I have the VCR set to record both shows. I'm thinking seriously about inviting 20-25 friends in the next few days to watch this on my big screen TV. We HAVE to get this truth out.

Micael Savage had a little footage from Iraq on his new TV show this afternoon on MSNBC, but the History Channel video much better and easy to understand.

I wonder if Blitz even read the report. Probably had some committee compile it and secretary type it; then he presents it. Typical bureaucRAT!

"Ignorance is Blitz" says it all.

Blix gave Saddam high marks for abiding by the treaty; the nuclear program was discovered in 1991 only after an Iraqi defector told authorities about it. Blix was stunned. "The system was not designed to pick this up," he told the Post.

What is that suppose to mean?

**"Powell was livid" when he found out the drone discovery had been omitted from his copy.**

Was it *conveniently* omitted??

Blix hasn't ordered, nor will he order, a single American into battle. That is on George Bush. UN approval helps this administration dodge responsibility and avoid later war crimes accusations especially when you are the aggressor.

If a supplier of equipment to the military knowingly sent faulty or malfunctioning parts, he certainly could be held responsible for contributing to “un-necessary” deaths

This is a loose analogy, but illustrative.

"I have my theories, but I am interested in others thoughts."

That's why it all comes back to Clinton (the Gramscian) and Hillary (whose fondness for Saul Alinsky goes back to her college days.) Your theories have roots I bet.
