Savage bores the living daylights out of me.
I could never listen to him more than ten minutes on the radio. He is just irritating to me.

Based on my COMMON taste, I'm sure this show will never make it.

Overall, not terrible for a first show, but it could definately be better.

Personally, I don't care for the radio on TV format.

But he gets HUGE kudos for not moderating his stance for tv. He didn't start screaming at anyone, but I think if he gets an honest caller who disagrees (instead of trying to fake out the screener) he will react the same way for tv as he does radio. I can respect that confidence and honestly.

I'd like to like it. I hope as he gets more comfortable it becomes an easier show to watch.

Remember Rush Limbaugh? His TV show was a flop, and I don't see that his radio career was "ruined".

Rush's TV show was not a flop. This is RAT propaganda that was proven false again and again. The only reason there isn't more data about it online is because it was so long ago.

Rush's "failed" show was on the air for four years, by the way. In syndication, failed shows are yanked within 2-4 months after their first airing.

"Big oops--deepest apologies for misreading the sign-up date" OK, I see you have already been busted for the problem of ACCUSING people of stuff without any kind of evidence or intelligent motive. Sounds like Savage, doesn't it: making claims (i.e.: Leilani didn't sign up until yesterday). Litany, you just proved everybody's point about Savage whilst trying to defend him. He's dishonest. He wants to be "popular/profitable" with the folks in fly-over country as long as his show-biz friends in LA and NYC approve. He's bogus and he doesn't mind fudgeing his facts to make a point. Again, with friends like you, Savage doesn't need enemies.Re: all your bogus accusations of recent FR signups: You PROVE that Savage & his hardcore fans are willing to lie to make a point.

>The set is dreadful.

You sound like a a guy who after watching an opera commented that the buffet did not have Avian water - I think you missed the passion, the honesty (it is the first honest un-PC show I ever saw), the issues, the raw energy... on and on. I stopped examining the setup after the first 10 minutes - if anything he is going to get better at it - but the context!!! Oh my god! Hr called the spade the spade - I think this can change the tide of the politically correct media who propogate this "infintile" mood on America

Do you honestly believe that Michael Savage would listen to constructive criticism? His ego is as big as I have seen -- I thought O'Reilly was bad.

The "constuctive critisism" is nonsense - all you want is to inflict your opinion on others. When a true artist create do not stay in his way with your "friendly" constructive critisism - just stand aside and enjoy the act of creation. Let Michael create, let him make his mistakes, let him learn and grow in this new to him TV media - but do not dismiss the massage he brings for the simplicity of the set. You want him to be an empty-headed TV anchor, a good actor - I want him to be a roaring engine that he is.

Well I've been listening to the radio show for months so I guess that's the reason I was unimpressed (with the TV show). I just thought Savage was out of his element. I much prefer the radio show. I suppose if I was unfamiliar with Savage, the TV show would have had a bigger impact on me.

I like the message too. I just hope that the TV show stays on the air long enough for a lot of people to see it.

I agree he needs time to work out th formatting, but I have to say after the first few uncomfortable minutes, once he started taking calls, I got wrapped up in the commentary just like I do on the radio. I was wanting more when it was wrapped up and am waiting for more next week. I hope MSNBC really is behind him and is not setting him up for failure. He has a lot of momentum right now with the radio show and book sales.

I hope too - while watching I could not but think that the democrats will not tolerate a straight-shooter like Savage; I wondered if there will be a second show.

YES--YES--YES! We hear so much whining about conservatives w/o backbone...along comes Savage who's not only willing to tell the truth but do it in a no-holds-barred fashion (nothing subtle--no way to miss his point!) and we've got people here complaining and criticizing...I think the complainers are nuts and Mr. Savage is great. I cannot get his show without paying for MSNBC as a "premium" channel but if I could he would have my enthusiastic support each and every Saturday. I firmly believe that w/o people like Savage to speak the truth this country will not exist in any form recognizable to the Founding Fathers by 2050.

I loved it. Have been fuming forever Re: WTC video.
Yes Michael, show it, get it and show planes hitting over and over. Who are these Media types to censor that.
ME scum did it, is that why we can't see it? Believe me, if some white guy harmed a Mosque we would hear all about it!!
Children are not watching cable news channels. We are grownups, tell it like it is.

Thanks for your comments on "constructive criticism". I usually find that means to make things "my way".

I get so angry when people want to tell you the truth. I don't want to hear it. I did the best I could so just tell me it is good...not excellent or perfect...but don't HELP me for my OWN good.

Me too - I've never seen a replay! The media said it did not want to overly "traumatize" the people with many re-runs - but not at all???? For years????

I received calls and emails too. Commercial breaks are good for that!!

I hope he gets the pictures and shows them over and over.

I am sick of the press showing the "chalky" looking people walking away...survivors! Show the real story and the beams of light and the services there over and over.
