Radio. Definitely. Even Limbaugh couldn't pull off TV, audience and all.

Still, give MSNBC points for not "Keyes"ian him. This is the type of show that Keyes MAYBE might have had a chance.

I'm forced to agree its a snoozer except for the footage. I haven't seen that in eons, on PBS, of all networks, IIRC.

Damn, I arrived late. Is this show going to be re-run later in the evening, or tomorrow?

He needs to learn some lessons REAL FAST or this thing will flame out in a pathetic fashion and his entire radio career will be ruined too.

Remember Rush Limbaugh? His TV show was a flop, and I don't see that his radio career was "ruined".

This show will make my weekends. He is terrific! Where did he get these filmclips? He is the best at letting the liberals have it - explaining the damage they have done to the nation. (Although I want him to be very careful about any Bush bashing )

Very disappointing!

Savage doesn't seem to understand that the show needs to be something other than a radio show with a web cam.

The ads remind me of Gleason's Chef of the Future bit.

I predict that if there is not an immediate format change this show will be off the air (cable really!) before the next Masters' Champion dons his jacket.

Actually, Rush's TV show was Number ONE in it's time slot...too bad they put him on at mindnite or 1am...he actually stopped doing the show because it took hours and hours of show prep and was beginning to affect his Radio show prep...he was simply fatigued.

You haven't missed anything! I see what you mean. ml/nj described in very accurately --- a radio show with a web-cam.

I think he's showing a great first effort. Some seem to think he likes to hear himself talk, but has anyone taken the number of callers on TV Savage has in just 45 minutes? He'll only get better and sharper. I bet he's a dripping mess under that coat and turtleneck.

Interesting point that Fox News is showing beagles being gassed by Saddam henchmen right now. Are they monitoring MSNBC?

Still, he didn't come across as well on TV as he does on the air. I actually enjoy Rush better on the radio than I did watching him.

You got that right. It shouldn't matter if he was broadcasting live from an outhouse waving a Sears catalog. It's the message!!!!!!

Disagree on the scoring.
The caller was cut of for being a "setup call" and using the phrase "turd world nation".

"He waffles too much on issues" That's the big complaint folks have with Savage. There's too much of the Clintonian finger up in the wind, waiting to hear what Imus or even CBS via People Magazine says, etc. There's not any kind of philosophical conviction there. I wish him the best (as I would anybody), but, like everybody else, I'm waiting for somebody who doesn't give a damn about "Conventional Wisdom", who has convictions & sticks with them. Savage is so all over the place on issues, he obviously doesn't even want to grasp them, unless it makes him "look good" in New York. Gag. So much for intellectual integrity.

on geez, he is reading from his book now. and those glasses are from the 1950s.

the format that matt druge used when he was on fox was fine. setup a particular topic with video clips, excerpts from articles (sort of like FR). then some commentary, some callers, maybe a guest here or there. thats a good format.
