We should amend the UN charter to *allow* agression against any regime that supports terrorism or commits genocide or violates the basic human rights and basic freedoms of its citizens.
Let there be open season on dictators.

Why waste the energy on this concept of replacing the UN? Why not just go back to our Founder's advice about foreign entanglements, admit to ourselves that we essentially rule the world, and call it good? If any nation wants to assist us in our endeavors, great - welcome aboard. If not, well, tough luck for your economy.
If we're going to be called an Empire, we might as well assume the entire suite of duties/responsibilities and authority.

Too often it [the UN] can't do the right thing, and so it does the wrong thing in order to do something. This "do something" disease isn't just confined to the UN. Individual American politicians (of all stripes) are infected with the same malady, and the result is usually the passing of unnecessary (&/or harmful) laws.

What a terrific article. Thought-provoking at the very least. Thank you for posting it.
Just a couple thoughts to add..... one is that Europe, as implied (maybe stated) in the article is becoming again increasingly anti-senetic. That we don't need in a "world body". The other thought is that muslim migration to European countries is on the rise (see Turkey) and in due time, Islamic control willl be in place. Up to Europe to deal with their own policies to keep themselves Europe, rather than what's on the horizon. Perhaps when they realize this, they'll decide to enforce immigration policies and re-assess their relationship with the Big-3.
Again, thanks for the article.

Given Blixs recent omissions of weapons found it's obvious that the UNs purpose is to reduce the power of the US and not rid the world of any dangerous dictators.
UN has repeatedly sided with dictators against democratic nations.
We need to stand up and simply walk out of the next UN Meeting.
And never return.

I couldn't believe it, but Henry Kissinger said today that he thinks the US should reconsider all its alliances. This coming from the likes of him, I think, is an indication that the UN is history.

I'm going to have to come back to this later. I'm too tired right now. Gotta love that title. As if any global governance was going to be better for sovereign nations. Buy a clue fella! (Not you Pokey)
