Too often it [the UN] can't do the right thing, and so it does the wrong thing in order to do something.

This "do something" disease isn't just confined to the UN. Individual American politicians (of all stripes) are infected with the same malady, and the result is usually the passing of unnecessary (&/or harmful) laws.

It's why we should run all the lawyers out of town on rails too. Not to mention the large percentage in the "healing" professions that are charlatans and Agenda pushers and Ritalin dealers (the highly politicized APA, AMA, CDC, etc).
