Clinton Flack to Rush: Shut Up About Bin Laden Deal and Broaddrick Rape

Former Clinton press secretary Joe Lockhart angrily defended his old boss yesterday against a 1978 rape allegation and charges that he blew a deal for Osama bin Laden's arrest, after talk radio host Rush Limbaugh suggested the ex-president should be asked about the two scandals during upcoming appearances on CBS's "60 Minutes."

"Bill Clinton won't talk about the stuff the American people really want to know. He's not going to address Juanita Broaddrick or giving the North Koreans two nuclear reactors to play with or rejecting three offers to take custody of bin Laden," Limbaugh said yesterday.

Bristling over the remarks, Lockhart told the Washington Post that the nation's top rated radio talker should "keep his mouth shut."

The ex-press secretary then described Clinton's reported million-dollar "60 Minutes" contract as "just one way to continue being part of the public service system."

Clinton has never denied a rape allegation by Arkansas businesswoman Juanita Broaddrick, who told the Wall Street Journal in Feb. 1999 that he brutally assaulted her in a Little Rock hotel room while he was Arkansas attorney general.

He was asked about Broaddrick's charges just once, in March 1999, and told ABC News reporter Sam Donaldson, "There's been a statement made by my attorney. He speaks for me. I think he spoke quite clearly."

No reporter has ever asked the ex-president about his Feb. 2002 confession that he personally turned down a deal for Osama bin Laden's extradition to the U.S. in 1996.

"We'd been hearing that the Sudanese wanted America to start meeting with them again," Clinton told New York's Long Island Association. "They released him. At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America."

Hear the bombshell bin Laden admission that Clinton won't discuss on "60 Minutes."

Funny the things reporters don't follow up on. Real funny.

Public service? He's being paid, it's called a job. If he want's to do public service go clean the hiway.

The term "public service" applied to the holding of public office is one of my pet peeves.

Based on Lockhardt's reaction alone, it's obvious Rush hit a sore spot ... and it should be, they know tht the slime ridden, traitorous, pervert should be rotting in jail.

Like the old quote says:

"Throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is the one that got hit". (quote attributed to Mark Twain or Louis Lamour, among others)

Good throwing, Rush!!

What's the matter Bill...can't speak for yourself? Gotta send your worn out lying, irrelevant, non-important, ex-spokesperson minions out to speak for yourseflf???

Why are you surprised? That has always been his modus operandi beginning with Hillary's NBC appearance blaming it all on a right-wing conspiracy.

Putting Clinton up against Dole is like putting Tyson up against someone's old grandmother....Or Hannity against Colmes.....:-)

Hey it would be awesome if the "pervert" was sitting, live camera, and Rush walk in take a seat.

Make my day!

Too bad we are not in control on this one.

If CBS wanted to be fair, they would put Rush up against Clinton.

Actually, I think the perfect pairing would be clinton v Coulter.

Imagine clinton being trashed by a hot blonde, oh the irony of it!

Once he realised he couldn't win a single argument he'd spend his entire time trying to look up her skirt while he played with himself on national TV.

Perhaps they could put a sink on the set for him....

I thought the same thing. Apparently, the Post did as well. Nobody uses the term "warn" unless they mean it.

Lockhart is an unemployed thug who needs to be.....

They're all hanging around, sort of a government-in-waiting.

"just one way to continue being part of the public service system."

Help me out here: ever heard of "the public service system?"

What's the matter, Lockhart? Don't like your former boss being exposed for what he is? That's right, Bill Clinton is a rapist, a traitor, and a murderer. Repeat after me: rapist, traitor, murderer.

Hey Clinton, if you're out there (reading this), I have three words for you: sue me, prick.

I don't recall Limbaugh mentioning the Broaddrick rape before yesterday. Looks as though progress is being made.

Mr. Lockhart is currently President and Founding Partner of the Glover Park Group, a leading Washington consulting firm. I found this on the web. This guy is a jackal....

If Lockhart just founded that firm, I doubt if it can be a leading lobbying firm. Maybe if Clinton were still in office --
