Update:

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) -- Two sons of Osama bin Laden were arrested in southeastern Afghanistan in a joint operation involving U.S. forces, Pakistan's provincial home minister Sanaullah Zehri said. "They were arrested from Rabat area in Afghanistan," he told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. He did not identify the sons, but said that seven other Al Qaida men were killed in the operation. Zehri refused to identify which forces were involved in the operation. "They were allied forces," he said refusing to identify the nationalities of the forces involved in the operation. Rabat is at the extreme tip of southwestern Afghanistan where the Afghan, Pakistan and Iran borders meet.

In Washington, U.S. counterterrorism officials strongly disputed reports saying bin Laden's sons were captured. They said they had no information that would suggest any of the sons had been detained.

Zehri refused to say which military units were involved.

"They were allied forces," he said, operating near Rabat in the extreme southwestern tip of Afghanistan where it borders Pakistan and Iran.

Some sources claim Bin Laden has at least 23 children by several wives. Saad is one the oldest, in his early 20s and has emerged as an al-Qaida leader and one of America's top two dozen targets in the network. Mohammed and Ahmed bin Laden also support their father's efforts, U.S. officials say.

Two Bin Laden Sons Said Wounded in Afghan Raid
Fri March 7, 2003 10:48 AM ET

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Two sons of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden were wounded and at least nine suspected al Qaeda members killed in an operation by U.S. and Afghan troops in the far west of Afghanistan, a Pakistani provincial official said on Friday.
U.S. and Afghan troops took part in the operation against supporters of bin Laden in the Ribat area, where the borders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran meet, on Thursday, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, home minister of the western province of Baluchistan, told Reuters.

"We have information that two sons of Osama bin Laden were injured," he told Reuters. "The people killed belonged to al Qaeda.

"Pakistani forces did not take part in the operation...it is an Afghan area."

Officers of Pakistan's paramilitary Frontier Corps told Reuters Pakistani forces had launched an operation on Thursday, also involving a few Americans, in pursuit of al Qaeda suspects in the Ribat region.

Pakistani officials said last weekend they had arrested Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, a top al Qaeda figure suspected of masterminding the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States

Pelosi is great when she gets to read or state her memorized mantras.

She apparently gets the Deer in theHheadlight Syndrome when she gets a hard question thrown at her, that requires some thought on her part. Brit Hume is not on her side, and his questions would have brought out the Deer in the Headlight Syndrome.

Her handlers want to send her out to make her hits on GW and have her run for cover and not answer any questions. She has gotten by with appearing on the weekend set up talk shows on ABCNNBCBS, as the moderators and other panelists including the token phoney conservative are on her side.

She is the best ally we have on that side.

One less trial.

What trial? These two are not American citizens and they will never set foot on American soil. After some extreme questioning these boys are off to a cage in Gitmo for the rest of their lives.

Notice: President Bush said nada about this last eve. Compile the fact that CBS reported local operatives are a wee ticked they did not get 'as much' credit as the U.S. in capturing Mahammed Whatshisname Jim Belushi on a 7 day binge look alike. So me thinks that info. is being leaked too early for the safety concerns of our SpecOps guys, so the U.S. is hush hush till it is all complete, and local militia helpfuls are leaking for their credit due.

According to some sources, the al-Qaeda terrorist organization organized by bin Laden with his own money is now led by bin Laden’s eldest son, Saad bin Osama bin Laden, the Arab newspaper Asharq Al Awsat informs with reference to sources close to al-Qaeda leadership.
