His voice is cracking. He must've spent far too much time with the perfumed diplomats from France & Germany last night.

Powell says reports today "shed more light " on the question if Iraq is cooperating. Please to hear there has been some continuing progres on process. Sorry to hear it is still coming in a grudging manner and not immediate, active and unconditional

In powell's judgement still sees non-cooperation.

"So far the best part of this whole thing is hearing the Mexican translator...shes got a very nice voice. :)"

Yeah, but the things she's SAYING! She's saying that Mexico, a cesspool of corruption, has got some kind of high moral standards....geeeees, there's that word 'unilateral' again....

Besides giving a Yes / No answer as to whether or not Iraq has complied with the resolutions as pertains to inspections, why are we giving this Euro-whore the time of day? This is turning into a circus.

Because then we can say we honestly tried to work with the UN .. we honestly tried to find peacefull measures

But in the end .. The United States needs to protect our country and our people regardless

Colin Powell:

"We meet today, it seems to me with one question and one very, very important question before us."

Have the Iraqis disarmed.

"That's what 1441 calls for."

"I listened to them very, very carefully." Re. Blix and Baradei reports.

"I was sorry to learn that all of this was still coming in a grudging manner."

Did not hear what 1441 requires:

"Immediate, active, unconditional cooperation."

Yup... and he's looking for "the Question" as referred to by Bush last night...

I don't recall hearing that question answered- is Iraq fully cooperating?

Yup- we must go to war soon, because Powell is about to lose his voice trying to drill all this stuff into European heads... if he loses it, then the charade is over. ;o)

What about the liberation of the Iraqi people that are suffering today?

You know, I saw something the other night that started me praying for these poor people. The History channel ran a show on the Iraqis that have had chemical and biological weapons on them. They were covered with burns and now cancerous growths on their bodies (the toddler they showed had a huge mass on her lip). Not to mention all the dead man, women and children in the streets. It was very painful to watch.

I also saw an Iraqi man on FOX who lives here and is the head of an Iraqi American organization. Said Saddam knows who he is and has killed members of his immediate family. Said many Iraqis here are waitng for us to do this and would return home if their country is liberated. Described some of the torture and how children are tortured to make their parents talk.

My kids have been hearing me walk around the house all week saying, "Iraqis need to be liberated". Thankfully, they don't think I'm nuts. Their getting used to my politcal rantings and activism, I guess.

Powell up: Has Iraq made the choice to disarm.

He listened carefully to Blix and El Baradei--very carefully. He was pleased to hear of some progess, but it is in a grudging manner.

Underscores Immediate, Active, Unconditional cooperation is the benchmark.

Unfortunately in his respect he finds it a catalog of non-cooperation.

If Iraq wanted to disarm we would not be mobilizing to find. They would be presented and destroyed. We know underground facilities exist.

Inspectors should not have to look under every rock and in every cave to prove compliance. We must hold Iraq to its terms.

We must not allow anything less than full and immediate compliance.

Did you see the look on the Germans face when Powell thanked him for chairing the SC last month. It was pure disdain for what Powell was saying which was a compliment!

Powell....we heard of accelleration of iraqi initiatives.....they have been PULLED out and PRESSED out by the possibility of military force....they have taken these initiatives ,.....under th threat of force....we are told these actions do not constititue immediate...but that is what is required..

I am pleased that Al suamud missiles are being broke up - problem we don't know how many missiles , toothpicks, there are,,....we have evidence....infrastructure to make missiles remains in iraq
