...Stephen Pollard writes in The Telegraph that the U.S. (and Britain?) may stage a U.N. walkout if the obstructionists carry the day at the Security Council:
Well-connected advisers tell me that if, as now seems likely, the UN refuses to back action against terror, Mr Bush will announce a "temporary" suspension of America's membership, to be accompanied by an offer: if the UN gets its act together and carries out long-overdue reforms, America (and its money) will return. But if there is no reform, the temporary withdrawal will, de facto, become permanent.

I certainly think we should do whatever it takes to see that happen - after all, if the UN is no longer relevant, then neither are their incursions into our land - PERIOD!

"we must destroy united nations building after it is evicted from U.S soil. this building is full of evil socialist thoughts that could contaminate anyone who steps into doors."
Are the Ghostbusters still in business?? They could come in and battle the slime.

Best news today. If true and if it should happen, it would be monumentally good news, IMO on par with something that happens perhaps once every fifty years or so.

Boogity, Boogity, Boogity. Adios UN!

I strongly doubt it, and the US would be foolish to do so. If the 1) US goes in without UN sanction, and 2) matters of war go well, and 3) the reconstruction is successful, that will be the strongest statement possible that the UN security council made a mistake. The US should just attend to its knitting, and seek good results, with point 3) being by far the most difficult. Finally, there is no way Jose the Brits are going to do this.

You know, I had a dream about that, once. I dreamed we kicked the UN right off our soil and gave the land back to the Rockefeller family with an admonishment to do something useful with the property next time! Then I discovered that the UN relocated to VATICAN CITY and I remembered the Bible prophesy that the Anti-Christ would rise from ROME. Then I dreamed that Clinton became the Secretary General....

Have you read Ollie North's new book "Mission Compromised"? He depicts the UN building and furnishings as the ultimate in opulence. I got angry about that, they are spending our taxpayer dollars on lavish furnishings for themselves, just for starters. Then they treat us like the enemy.

Ugh. Greta has two Iraqi women on her show talking about how Saddam decapitates women and puts their heads on stakes outside their houses.

France would love to pick up the bill, or maybe one or those thuggy creepy little totalitarian states would want the honor.
Let form our own club. Membership rules? Every State must be a democracy to join, have the rule of law, a free press, and a bill or rights.
I wonder what country would "take" the UN off our hands! lol

series, hugh, etc.... Can we *please* get over the cutesy "I'm an in-the-know Freeper because I know the cutesy misspellings"? How about heeding the suggestion your mom made not to say anything unless you're contributing? If you're not adding anything to the discussion, you're simply adding to the noise.
Jim -- can you say something about the threads -- especially the very serious ones such as the night club fire and oil tanker fire -- being polluted by these trivializing misspellings?
