Bush seems off tonight like I haven't seen him. Somber, yes, but also seems to have difficulty concentrating.

He's tired. Karl Rove told him he needed to have a press conference, so he squeezed a press conference into his schedule.

Bush is not a public speaker, as Clinton was. These things are work for him, not fun.

Energy should be expended to convince people. I don't see the need to be funerally somber at this press conference.

I don't think he is basing his "somberness" on need; I beleive that he feels somber. We have reached the end of diplomacy (I hope anyway).

Frankly, I'd love to hear something strong - something to absolutely remove all doubt from all but the goofiest of leftists.

Well, I think most people have made up their minds by now. Either you support him or you don't. He's just saying be prepared.

He sounds like he's playing this real close to the chest. Choosing his words carefully to ten decimal places. He's giving the UN and the other world leaders their last chance to avoid being flushed down the toilet bowl of history. People are expecting him to club the rest of the world over the head. The tone of this speech is more for the benefit our good allies (like the UK ) than us. Now the libs and the media have to spin their way out of this. I'm not disappointed. President Bush's next speech will be giving all enemies both barrels.

Terry Moran, what went wrong that so many gov'ts and people around the world now disagree and see the us under YOUR leadership as an arrogant coward? (Did he say that?)

President.....the vote came out 15-0 at the UN.....that you'll see alot of nations that will clearly be with us if we have to go forward.....our transatlantic relationships are very important...there's was no disagreement on 1441 by France.....if they think more time will cause him to disarm, I disagree with that......a lot of talk about inspectors.....

I make my decisions based upon my oath...I BELIEVE SADDAM HUSSEIN IS A THREAT, ......us, his neighborhood, and the Iraqi people......Liberty is God's gift to each and EVERY PERSON.....
