I don't think Reagan ever did anything this brave or this critical. You might want to review your history about Mr. Reagan. Just look at the Reykjavik summit as just a small example of the HUGE bravery he expressed in that meeting.
Mr. Bush is a great leader but Mr. Reagan was one of the worlds greatests.

When W is this serious, he is most committed. The game is over even if the Security Counsel doesn't yet get it. I think so, too. This is a moment for gravity and solemnity. It wouldn't be appropriate for him to be revving folks up when we're right on the brink of war. He's going to do the right thing, no matter what.
No more chances for Saddam.

Bush is using every question to launch another stanza of a ..well, as someone as already put it, a eulogy. Very powerful...very somber...sober...thoughtful....simply excellent, in my view

What was his answer? all he said is that North Korea is a regional issue, to be handled multilaterally? But he didn't explain why that should be so with North Korea, but not with Iraq. Iraq presents an immediate threat by way of terrorist attacks; North Korea presents a longer-term threat that will have to be dealt with, but all in good time...

Yadda, yadda, yadda. This is getting to sound like a broken record. How many ways/times can you say the same thing? Why clear the decks and make a big fuss for a non-starter like this?

President Bush is quietly, confidently answering the press questions. His eyes are clear, his face is kind...and his audience doesn't know how lucky they are that this good man is leading the country right now.

But he didn't explain why that should be so with North Korea, but not with Iraq.you might have slept through it, but on september 11, 2001, a bunch of diaperheads destroyed the world trade center and did considerable damage to the pentagon and were responsible for the destruction of four of our airliners, killing all aboard. this makes belligerent diaperheads out problem. beligerent n.k. nutjobs are everybody's problem, but the cowards at the u.n. refuse to admit it.
got it now?

His energy has to be meted out carefully. Nonsense. Bush runs three miles a day. He's got lots of energy.
Energy should be expended to convince people. I don't see the need to be funerally somber at this press conference.

I hear steel and red hot coals in the President's voice. You don't? I sure do.
