Is that Anne Ramsey or Don Imus in that photo? Yeah, it is hard to tell, isn't it? I actually had trouble finding photos of her, and didn't want to spend a half hour doing so.

That RAT from CA was a total idiot -- Portman had him beat every which way and then Joe says I am with Bob (Portman) on this one. I am so glad I discovered Scarborough's show. Another email heading his way tonight.
Finally a show that I can really relate to the person hosting it! I had sworn off MSNBC until I was flipping through channels and saw Scarborough. Seeing J.C. on tonight made me want my Congressman back! He belongs in the Congress -- Senator I hope!

What are the specific things you are referring to when you say get everything squared away? Nothing in particular. I was just referring to the comment that Bush and Cheney had promised not to leave a mess for future administrations.

I'm still trying to figure out where the press corps was vacationing during the clinton admin. The Lincoln Bedroom. The phone number for room service is: S-T-A-T-E-D-I-N-N-E-R.

Greta told David Gergen that even though Bush has said many times before tonight that his job is to protect the American people and he intends to do it, "his words resonated" with her tonight as never before. YES!

That's interesting. I definitely heard it used in reference to George W. Bush.

This would have been a great time to start the regine change, while Sodom is in his bunker watching Bush press conference on CNN. One good bunker buster and he would be toast.
That will happen next week, when we get that regine.

Iraq is a sophisticated society????? Did anyone else hear this?? I did. They are an industrialized society that happens to be controlled by a despotic leader. And so, your point is?
To: TrappedInLiberalHell

That guy from California was a complete idiot. He said the country needed a more sophisticated foreign policy.
To: Balata
Somebody not interested in the president's press conference.

CSPAN is repeating the press conference. I'm seeing it now for the first time. Can I play Groundhog Day (again (again)) and post comments?

The U.S. and western Europe "staged" the Persian Gulf War in 1991 as the first step in a long process to eliminate Europe's reliance on Arab oil. Now what happened in 1991 that would have prompted such action on their part? I'm not sure I understand your question. Is it in the vein of the US and EU wondering "how could a war be justified," or something else? If the former, I believe that Kuwait was drilling beyond its border, into Iraq. Kuwait may have been encouraged or lulled into that by militarily powerful backers, or it may have been doing it on its own volition. Sadam asked the US ambassador what the US reaction would be, if Sadam initiated military action against a neighbor. I forget her name, Ann Richards? said that the MidEast squabbles were not something the US was interested in.
Is that what you are getting at?

1. North Koreans are not all over the world in such large numbers, and willing to suicide to attack Israel or the Great Satan. They do not have a history of harboring and working with this ready made delivery vehicle.
2. North Korea did not surrender and promise to get rid of all of it's WMD over 12 years ago.
3. Who says that North Korea is not next. Hussein will not likely be the last leader to go down for supporting world terrorism.
4. North Korea attacked the South in a Civil War. They did not attack another country that was not even provoking them.
There are a few of the reasons that NK and Iraq are different.
