9 paragraphs into her review of the Pretenders show, Neva writes about Chrissie Hynde's (Pretenders lead singer) comments. I first heard about this on Curtis and Kuby on WABC- I couldn't believe my ears.

The way they told it, Chrissie stopped singing in the middle of a song, started a tirade that went along these lines:

"Has the war started yet? If so, I hope we get bombed. I hope the Muslims beat the hell out of us. I hope they destroy us because we deserve to lose..." There was more... Nary a peep from the media on this. The article above was gushing with praise of her whole show. How disgusting. I hope Savage picks up on this tonight.

Hello Rush;

I am a Pretenders fan from way, way back, but Chrissy Hynde turning pro terrorist was the last straw. Out went my Pretenders CD's in the trash, and I recomend you also trash your now too familiar theme. Time for a change anyway... I strongly recomend something VERY patriotic... "The Battle Hymn of the Repubic"! Glory Hallealueah! "... He will loose the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword"! Please consider this change.
