Anti-War Protestors put on an ugly face Saturday Afternoon - being pretty much confined to a single corner at the intersection of Brea and Imperial Hwy.
Apparently, they don't like sharing the intersection with people who don't agree with them.

Thanks to all the people who showed up to support our President & our troops! I wish there was a rally in my area, I'd surely be there! WE need more of this nationwide!!

Yesterday, while driving home, a group of 8 kids in their teens had some signs on a street corner.
This usually means a fund-raiser of some kind in this little town. Nope, not this time.
It was a small anti-war rally. They were led by a cherubic male about 35.
I rolled down my window and gave them the thumbs down
The thing that pissed me off was that some of the kids were'nt even old enough for high school.
I focused on the adult and thought, the guy is either a teacher or an undercover pedophile.

Anti-War crowd gets cornered in Orange County. |
|
Anti-War Protestors put on an ugly face Saturday Afternoon - being pretty much confined to a single corner at the intersection of Brea and Imperial Hwy. |
|
For the past few months, a small crowd of the Anti-American faithful has had the intersection all to themselves. |
|
The usual opportunistic "causes" have climbed aboard the "No War" band wagon. Hemp: aka Cannabis aka Marijuana |
|
The red "V" is for "Vagina" - the button pinned to her shirt reads "Pussies Unite". She's angry that, due to her lack of education, she can only make minimum wage. She believes that the government should provide her with a better paying job and free healthcare.
Hmmm.... quack quack, waddle waddle.... - Socialism! Hey great idea - worked well in the U.S.S.R.... right?
Problem is, most of these "Activists" don't even know what U.S.S.R. stands for.
They're not old enough to remember. Many of them are college students - one of whom who, after standing shouting "NO WAR FOR OIL" all day long - I saw driving off in a Toyota SUV. Hmm... that's not hypocritical, is it? |
But, over the past several weeks, things have changed. The Anti-Americans are no longer in complete control of the intersection. |
|
|
Ashley B. is a retired Art teacher from Laguna Niguel. She joins the other Pro-Americans here with a simple, single, message:
There are many people here who support our troops and their Commander in Chief |
|
This was a typical, Pro-American, response. While the Anti-War corner did receive it's share of responses, a clear majority of the positive responses were directed at the Pro-Americans. |
. |
This fire truck made several runs during the afternoon - and they made a point of honking their horn loud and long for the Pro-Americans every time they drove past on their way back to the firehouse. |
|
Louise Ross gathers contact information from the Pro-Americans. She has taken up the task of organizing the opposition to the Anti-War crowd at the intersection. |
|
Her Son, Sgt. Charles Ross, is a Marine Reservist who has been deployed to the gulf. |

Thank you-is this an active corner every weekend or was this a daily event?
To: wm25burke
so why is it anti-american to disagree with the president??
Seems pretty pro-american to me to not want to send our young people off to die...even if all we care about is ourselves...I do support our troops. I don't want them coming home in body bags.

Anti-War Protestors put on an ugly face Saturday Afternoonbleech...Don't look at their faces! Better to look at their pathetic signs; at least some of them are so ridiculous they are funny. AT first glance I thought the street sign that says "right lane MUST turn right" in on of your pics was one of their signs...LOL! It actually makes more sense than most of their lame signs.

Back when I was around 6 or so, my mom and dad might have differences of opinion on discipline. My tiny 6 year old brain recognized that if I could create dissent, I would get my way.
It surprises me that the Left hasn't learned what a child would know, that with dissenting actions, they are providing Hussein with the wedge he feels he needs to get his way. Want to avoid a war? Then shut up, and Hussein just might realize that both mom and dad are mad this time, and he'd better do what he's told.

Seems pretty pro-american to me to not want to send our young people off to die...No that's cowardly and ignorant.
It is pro-American to support the concepts of America...inalienable rights, due process, the right against cruel and unsual punishment. These things are being withheld from the Iraqi people by an evil tyrant. A man who murders, rapes, tortures, and maims his own citizens.
The only moral course is to remove this man from power asap.
American fighting men have given their lives for this cause before, and when you ask today's military, they will tell you they are ready to do it again. It find it reprehensible for an enabler of murederous despotism like yourself to speak on their behalf, frankly.

My son fought in Desert Storm. I didn't want him coming home in a body bag either. However, if we are unwilling to use our military force for a just cause and to defend our citizens, when WILL we be willing to use it? If we are unwilling to use our troops we might as well lie down and invite terrorists to come in and rule over us! Thank God we are not French!

The "We hate Bush" crowd is primarily active there on the weekends. Some of the individuals there are the same ones who protest on Friday Evening at Southcoast Plaza in Costa Mesa. I wonder when these students ever have time to study?
The Pro-American group plans to be active there on Saturdays.
