I didn't know anyone in the VFW. I only knew people from the AL. So I only forwarded the article there.

maybe you've had a bad experience but don't slander all VFW members just cause you met some misguided ones. Down here they are some of the finest folks you could ever meet.

No lsandering VFW members, telling the truth about VFW organization, they endorsed paul "red" wellstone, who never saw a military man he liked and just last week they wanted to open a chapter in Viet Nam.
When I ask ed for my dues to go to some other organization, they said they would put my membership in active status, and that is all they would do.
So I said fine go FOAD.

When I read this report (a few days ago), I recalled being a 7 ('67) year old little girl whose daddy was not with us but far away across a giant ocean. We missed him everyday. When Bob Hope's Christmas for the Troops came on no matter where he was visiting, I sat with my face inches from the old B&W TV screen scanning for my daddy. I never had a single adult tell NOT support me while my daddy was "away in the army." All of my teachers gave the big hugs when I cried during the Christmas season and other times. They always encouraged me that he would be home soon and was doing a very important job. A long overdue, sincere THANK YOU to those teachers many years ago that understood a little girls whose daddy was far, far away.
Say a pray for these little ones and their mommies and daddies in Maine.

There is no doubt in my mind: This was a hate crime.
The liberals wanted legislation passed prohibiting hate crimes. They got it! Now, they're ignoring their own law.
The word, "sensitivity" does not cover what these people did to the children entrusted to their care.

If anyone wishes to make a complaint to the superintendant of schools in Portland me or the Superintendant of schools in Augusta Maine here are thier web sites.
Portland public schools Augusta Maine public schools
These are two school districts that have been mentioned as having children of guarsmen who have been harrassed. It might be a good idea to let the superintendant of schools know he has a public duty to make certain that any teacher who has engaged in harassing school children because their parents are serving this nation should be immediately off the public payroll in such a manner that they cannot any longer be employed by the government.

The VFW PAC also endorsed Tom Delay of TX and Saxby Chambliss of GA (over Max Cleland-VN vet). Wellstone, oddly enough, did support many veteran issues, and that, after all, is what the PAC looks for. Unfortunately, the Wellstone endorsement is not the only mistake they have made over the years...

Please take the time and trouble to notify two of the involved school superintendants that they have a duty to fire those who have abused children of those serving our nation. It is not a Free Speech issue it is an attack on the children of those who serve because of their service.
