This man understood the power of God, and used that power to make the world better.

That's a shame. He was kinda goofy but in a decent, kind way. He'll be missed.

I have it on good authority that King Friday the 13th has declared at least a week of mourning.

A not-as-beautiful day in the neighborhood. The kindest man in the mass media, and enough generosity of spirit to personally justify -- almost -- tax-funded "public" television. Rest in peace, Fred.

I wondered why it was raining so hard this morning, it must have been tears from above...

The people I know who have met Fred Rogers said he was the same man in person as he was on the screen; genuine and kind.

There was a story about his car being stolen from the parking lot of the Children's Television Workshop. There were several scripts for the show in the backseat when it was stolen. Apparently, the thief found these and felt incredibly guilty, because the car was returned a few days later, unharmed, to the very same parking spot with a note, "I didn't know it was yours"!

He was a wonderful witness for the Lord and a wonderful neighbor to us all, rest in peace, Mr. Rogers.

I was so sad to hear about this. I better tape episodes before our local PBS station yanks the show off the air. Just so my seven month old can see it.

I always thought we went through three phases with Mr. Rogers. As a child you loved the show (my husband's family still says it was his favorite), as a teen you thought Mr. Rogers was a dork, then as a parent you fell in love with the show all over again.

It was raining over night here too.

A good man has died. I knew several people that knew him personally and worked with him. No one ever said a bad word about the man. I believe that he was good to the core and was someone we should all try to be more like.

May he rest in peace.

Somewhere I have a biography of Mr. Rogers. I never saw his show growing up, and had never really watched it till I read the book.

A giant of a man. Congratulations on the promotion, Mr. Rogers.
