Any man associated with Promise Keepers has to be outstanding. May he rest in peace.

I've heard him a few times and he seemed like a good pastor- may God rest his soul.

May God bring comfort to his loved ones in this difficult time. He was a mighty man of God and he will be missed!! He ran "The Lord's Kitchen" in Los Angeles, and helped many down and out souls. He will have many crowns in Heaven! God rest his soul.

A man of faith and integrity. A model for men.
Lord, thank you for lending him to us.

A simple man who preached a simple Gospel in a powerful way. May God be with his family and his church.

I fully expect to see him in his resurrected body within the next few years.

His own son is carrying on his legacy. Preached here at 1st So. Baptist Church of N. Hollywood as a guest speaker during our birthday celebration. Real good people.

A Spirit-filled Titan is gone. I am deeply saddened by this news, but I know that Pastor Hill would tell me not to be if he could. He's present with the LORD now. And while death does not have any sting for the Believer, it sure stings those who remain by the loss it brings.

The man could preach! Word by word of scripture, simple, yet profound messages. May God provide, new, godly leadership for his flock.

This is sad... for us.
I am thinking that (Good) Friday was sad, too...
But Sunday's coming.
He's already there. I pray God's comfort for his family.

I got to hear Hill speak at a church in DC about 15 years ago - his loss is a great one, indeed....

He was a great man of character and he is home now. If I remember right he was from my hometown.

Yes he will be missed. But I think he was losing it in his later years anyway.
Hill supported Henry Lyons, past president of the black Baptist assembly.
Lyons had been convicted of fraud, caught in adultery, had purchased a home with his 'woman' [a home Lyon's wife burned down] and was in jail, before Hill finally decided that Lyons should step down.
I think that one of the greatest sermons ever preached was when Dr. Hill preached at his wife's funeral. I think it was broadcast by "Focus on the Family" several years back. He was not a great black preacher. He was a great preacher.

God bless him. RIP.
