A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 2/25/03
yahoo.com, netscape.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 02/25/2003 6:45:23 PM PST by rintense

President Bush began his day by speaking to the leaders of Greece and Bulgaria regarding the situation in Iraq and the war on terror. From there, the President had a meeting with the National Economic Council to talk about the latest trends in the economy and to receive a status report on the economic plan that he has proposed to the Congress to help the economy to grow faster. Later in the day, Bush met with a group of Republican House and Senate leaders to discuss the upcoming congressional agenda. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Janene Garafalo is such a lame excuse for a human being. She'll say anything to get attention since her movies won't bring her the spotlight that she desires.

Watching Judging Amy is a guilty pleasure for me ...

Tyne Daley is such a good actress and such a stupid human being.

And then we had Rosie. For some reason I just don't dislike her as much as I should, maybe because she seems pathetic to me.

You didn't miss much. The Maxine character went off totally on the boy ... went way overboard, but that's what they do on that show.

I know how you feel, getting upset about the media. I don't know what stories you saw, but today I got lucky. I was too busy to listen to all of the radio programs, just got bits and pieces, but they were good bits and pieces of liberals getting slammed. The lady having an argument with Brian on Fox was a great piece and I heard the video of that.

I was lucky today and what little I heard or skimmed was the good parts. There will be better days. At least there are people out there standing up for what is right. We could always use some more, but what we have is putting up a mighty fight. There were times in years past when there didn't seem to be anyone out there fighting the good fight. There is this website, some programs on Fox, other websites, radio programs... It is not the time to give up, but it also isn't the time to feel hopeless. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.

OH....one of the HIGHLIGHTS of the DAY is the Dose....THANK YOU, as always, Rintense.

I have an idea (oh, no)..oh, yes....what if we got some kind of plaque (from a Christian store or something) that seemed appropriate, and signed it from "The Dose" and sent it to the President and First Lady, with a list of all of our names, addresses (lobbying for a Christmas card, LOL)......Maybe Rintense could DELIVER it!!!! What do you all think? (Going back to work on our taxes, but I'll check back.)

You're very welcome, and yes, I would love to see old Ronnie like he is in this picture. I also thank Nancy for not allowing us to see him in his current condition. She wants him to be remembered as he is in that picture and to be honest, That's the way I want to remmeber him.

Happy Birthday,

Mike

I know it is very rarely done. Fox might be the network that makes the exception.

WABC-TV in New York (owned and operated by the ABC/Disney network) transferred their sports anchor (Steve Bartelstein) to morning news anchor and apparently that worked for them. Of course, he wasn't really that good at sports reporting to begin with, and Brian Kilmeade is good at it. I think it works well with him just the way it is. He gets to have his cake (do sports) and eat it too (do on-set interviews).

"Pimps, whores and welfare reciepents voted for Granholm. They're blood suckers."

Colmes was about apoplectic!

I can't wait to catch it on the re-run. I love it when Alan gets p-d off.

Thank you. Coming on this site definitely makes me feel better. Some times I just get frustrated by what I see and read. I know I should not listen to the liberals because they are just pathetic and desperate for attention. I wish they would just leave our President alone. He has enough stress to deal with. He needs our support now more than ever.

Well........hmmmmm......don't you like MY screen name too?? ;-) ;-)

Oh yes! Sorry! I was off this thread for a while wandering around. I love your screen name! There is just something about Texas and a flower or Texas and a certain George. :)

"DrDeb, I ran across a small local poll on a website for a radio station in Cape Girardeau MO that was very encouraging. It was grading President Bush A,B,C ...
About 86 percent graded him as A and some more as B. When you add the A and B up it was 97 percent, the last time I checked it. This is the heartland, not the left coast after all. If you evaluate it, you could throw some cold water on my enthusiasm, and I could figure that out too. It is nice to see such wonderful numbers anyway. "

We must understand that while the President's current approval rating of 60% or higher (Gallup/USAToday/CNN, ABC News/Washington Post, Zogby -- when converted to the traditional approval/disapproval schema) is PHENOMENAL for ANY time, it is particularly phenomenal for THIS time in history. Why?

1.) the country is 'politically' split 51/49 (the Democrat/Republican distribution in the Senate seems to accurately reflect the country's political demography);

2.) perceptions concerning the economy are very low among Democrats and only fair among independents (the lowest in 9 years);

3.) we're in the midst of an extremely uncertain/unsettling phase before the onset of a new battle in our continuing war on terror.

With many fewer issues than the President currently faces, both Presidents Reagan and Clinton possessed approval ratings in the low 40s at a similar point in their respective presidencies. [NOTE: According to Gallup, President Reagan's average approval rating for his 8 years as president was 53%; Clinton's average rating was 55%]

Again, at this point in the election cycle, the only approval rating that matters is the rating among Republicans which still stands at 90%+!!!!

Me, too (remember Ronnie as he was).

He is so lucky to have Nancy; she has been fabulous, but I have a feeling he earned that luck.

It warms to heart to think of such love, and I think we have it again with George and Laura.

For anyone who has been witness to the destructive power of alzheimer's, no one should have to endure seeing a loved one go through it, and allow others to become clouded in their lasting impressions.
I was a kid, and I saw my great-grandmother go through it. (she passed when I was 12.) It was quite difficult to understand, but it made me part of who I am.
I am now having to go through it with my grandmother, since my Dad (her son) works out of town. It's not easy..... so I know how Nancy R. kinda feels.....

cleveland, get in line. We all pretty much despise those leftist idiots. If you ever feel the need to puke, turn toward the protestors and let em have it!
