For your delectation, FReepers. Socialist rant, yes, but it is quite detailed. Underlines the Dumbocrats cozy relationship with big buck donors - which they claim is solely a Republicans function.

World Socialists whining about how off the reservation their fellow-socialists with money have become. Too bad, so sad. They're all a bunch of whackjobs with no solutions - all masquerading as being "for the little guy." Next time one of them uses that phrase, ask him if he's talking about Tom Daschle....

Fact is, GM and Ford were amongst Hillarycare's first converts. When it comes to basic liberties and constitutional guarantees, they are shills and that's about it.

. . . the Democrats, the self-described “party of the people, not the powerful,” are just as beholden to corporate America as their Republican counterparts.

This statement is incorrect. The Democrats, in fact, are MORE reliant on big donors than the GOP. One of the biggest myths in politics these days is that the Republican Party is dominated by big-business types. What makes the Democrats who supported limits on "soft money" contributions so stupid is that the Republicans raise more strictly-regulated "hard money" as well. The reason for this is simple -- the Republicans have more donors than the Democrats from almost every step of the economic ladder.

Most socialists ARE registered Democrats, so why are the socialists complaining about getting money from socialist Democrats in Hollywood?

No, I didn't read the whole article.

Within moments of Gore declaring out of the race, Reiner received calls from LIEberman and several other dem candidates. Just think, LIEberman, who pretends to disapprove of Hollyweird.

The Hollyweird/Entertainment Establishment, along with the AFL-CIO, the NEA, AFT, as well as the NAACP, are all just Democratic Party offshoots. It's as simple as that.

"In the media rooms, Apple and Dell supplied hundreds of spanking new computers; Panasonic, hundreds of televisions; and AT&T and Nortel, the telephones. SBC proudly announced it was a sponsor. In the media lounge, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, the health insurance company, provided free food and drink for the 15,000 reporters. There were countless booths for telecommunication companies, airlines, e-commerce and other businesses located around the convention halls."

Geez, I wish they would donate some of that FREE stuff to a poor lil girl like me! I guess you have to be a rich political mover shaker to get the freebies.
