EU letter to Foreign Ministry harshly criticizes

There has been a further deterioration in already tense relations between Israel and the European Union. EU ambassadors submitted to the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem on Wednesday strongly-worded objections to IDF actions in the territories and were met with criticism on EU policy toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The letter of protest, which was submitted to the Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Ministry's Western Europe division, Victor Harel, censured IDF actions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The letter also criticized the expropriation of Palestinian land for the construction of a separation fence between Israel and the West Bank, as well as the closure of universities and infringement of human rights in population centers in the territories.
A well-informed source in Jerusalem regarded the criticism as "one of the most serious that we have received in the recent past," and said that the EU worked on formulating the letter for three weeks, until it succeeded in coordinating between the various foreign ministries.
Harel rejected the European criticism and the letter's harsh wording, and in his response he attacked declaration made by EU leaders earlier in the week, which linked the crisis in Iraq to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He questioned why the Europeans praised Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat on his intention to appoint a prime minister, but disregarded the measures taken by Israel, including the return of tax monies owed to the PA.
The Foreign Ministry views the European declaration with concern, and a well-informed source noted that Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moller stated that the key to a European agreement on the Iraq crisis would be the inclusion of the Israeli-Palestinian crisis in a statement issued by the EU.

The EU pays the palestinians. The palestinians have been told to insurrect.
The whole point is to provide a diversion that will derail the U.S.

Denmark is not on the UN Security Council, NATO defense of Turkey has been affirmed, and we don't are what the EU says, so Denmark doesn't have any leverage.

the EU worked on formulating the letter for three weeksThe Europeans wonder - they WONDER - why they lag the US in every measure of economics and technology. Here, they tie up some of their most sophisticated, well-paid minds to craft a document denying people the right to defend themselves, and take nearly a month to do it.
the key to a European agreement on the Iraq crisis would be the inclusion of the Israeli-Palestinian crisis in a statement issued by the EU.
Yes. We can't liberate people in a police state, or cut the world's stock of madman-controlled WMDs without making Jews less secure. Nice to see they have their priorities straight.

No offense, but why did you provide the excerpt link when you've posted the full article? I went to the site to find out there was no more information there.

Evidently the EU as a whole agrees with the published goals of the middle-eastern nations who speak openly of the desire for a second holocaust and the destruction of Israel. Europe is a vast wasteland of non-existant moral ethics. One would think WWII would have awakened them from their stupor, but alas they weren't. I don't have very much respect for Europeans.
