yeah, can't rule out a trend here.
Also there was a itty-bitty thread about a patrol in a remote Utah oil field who was approached by two foreign men asking questions, etc. last night.

c'mon people - let's apply some sense of rationality and proportional statistics here. Every day there are hundreds of fires and places which deal with volatile materials, such as refineries and factories are, obviously, more susceptible to fires than any place else. The obvious factor here that KOOKs are not including in their jump to fearmongering is that the media is getting bored with everything tied to the war, etc., and all that leaves them with are fires (nightclubs or others) to cover with all their hype & hyperbole. GET A GRIP!

Not very. Crawford is near Waco, towards Dallas. Midland is more west-central, towards El Paso.

I know they happen every day, every where, but we've got a BIG one burning in Staten Island right now. The one in Staten Island is almost out. It is just a burning barge. Flashy looking, but no big deal.

This is F'ed up. I am not a persoon that believes in coincidences or a "chicken little", so I don't know what to think. This is odd.

Before everyone starts speculating on the numerous fires in petro/chem facilities, please keep mindful that the winter months are usually loaded with these type fires.
The need for heaters, the contractions/expansions of connections and the other difficulties involved in transporting petro products in cold temps make these cold months a prime time for fires.

Is South Midland a separate town or is it part of Midland? If it's Midland, is this near the college or airport?

Lets see.
That makes three oil refinery fires and one chem. plant fire in 5 days....
....but who's counting?
To: Eala
Two fires? Could be coincidence. Plus, the BP Amoco refinery blast/fire in the Chicago area earlier this week ... hmmm
To: mystery-ak
how close is it 350 miles, give or take a few.

Obviously humor escapes you a bit...
Don't take everything so series-ly. It was intended to be a joke (Hint: the Signs reference).

Too much of this in too short a time period these last couple of days. Exactly. This is what, the third oil facility fire within the past week? I doubt coincidence.
