A survey using sophisticated aerial photography of Sunday's anti-war march and rally in San Francisco has produced results that indicate a far smaller crowd than the 200,000 protesters estimated by police and event organizers.
The results of the independent survey, commissioned by The Chronicle and SFGate.com, cast doubt on traditional counting methods and contradict the crowd estimate of 200,000, which was reported in this newspaper and news media around the world. Crowd size in a demonstration is important because organizers tend to use it as evidence of support for their cause.
In a series of detailed, high-resolution photographs, the aerial survey shows that around 65,000 people were in the area of Market Street and Civic Center Plaza at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, which organizers said was when crowd size was at its peak. That number does not take into account marchers who dropped out before or arrived after the moment the photo sequence was shot. Calculating a precise number of protesters for the entire rally is not possible from this survey, but the result is much more accurate than the visual scan method most commonly used by police and organizers.

Amazing that the SF Chronicle would commission such a study, let alone report a result adverse to the left. This, of course, assumes that the actual estimate wasn't even lower than 65K.

I'm sure this was on page one, above the fold?
To: TenaciousZ
It's also impossible to estimate how many in the crowd were not peace freak protesters

I'm sure this was on page one, above the fold? Impossibly, the Chron's website indeed lists this as an A-1. But I dunno whether it's above the fold. Anybody seen the actual issue?

So the C.A.N.S.W.E.R. people are lying about the number of participants in their demonstrations. They lie about so much that lying about this is merely par for the course. We'll see to what extent the rest of the lamestream media picks up this more accurate attendance figure. I'm not holding my breath.

Talk about irrelevant information! After the incorrect, inflated numbers have been hyped around the world for a week, by organizers and their cooperative media friends, this reality check won't even register.

That was the idea -- make a big media splash, by the time the facts dribble out, attention will have drifted elsewhere.

A survey using sophisticated aerial photography of Sunday's anti-war march and rally in San Francisco has produced results that indicate a far smaller crowd than the 200,000 protesters estimated by police and event organizers. Does anyone know any reported estimates of the crowd size that were given before the event took place? In other words, were estimates of 200K being thrown around prior to the actual event?
I have been contending that these left wing organizers have long -- Million Man March, Million Mom March, etc., etc. -- ginned up bogus, picked from the air, inflated, wildest dreams, "estimates" of how many supporters would show for their event, hyped those numbers to a lapdog, unskeptical press which dutifully reported them, then, abracadabra, viola, the event drew just that many people.
So, how many were projected for SF? 200K? I'd be very surprised if it weren't.
And, by the way, how would one even arrive at a prediction prior to such an event? That these left wingers have been so remarkably accurate is uncanny -- or fixed.

Good find!
The left's numbers are falling like a rock. Now it's time for us to rock!
Support our Troops rallies are being organized across the USA. You are invited to attend the Patriots Rally for America IV, in Washington, DC on March 1st. Let's show our support for the USA, folks! Tell your friends. Bring your friends!
If you can't find your way to DC on March 1st, please find a rally in your town, or make your own; it's time to rock and roll for the USA!

They have lied for years with the GayRhonicle and of course ABCNNBCBS helping them in their lies.
A female friend years ago was hired to be a pretty face on the streets for SF tv station.
On coverage of all of these renta mob marches, she had two very strict marching orders.
1. They were to use camera shots which made the usual 30 something renta maggots look like a huge mob and never to have a camera shot at a distance.
2. She was told to never interview any of the renta maggots. There were the usual spokesperson with each renta mob for interviews.
After about of year of this she decided it was time for a career change. So on a 3 day holiday, on a Sunday there was one of these renta mobs protesting America. The news director was home doing something. So she controlled the camera scenes and the interviews.
She had her camera crew take a shot of the small mob, the usual 30 something from a distance and higher than the small mob.
They used that as the leadin with her voice overlay that the mob was very small as usual.
Then she talked to some of the drugged out and brain dead renta maggots. Her discussion with the 3rd one was stopped. She was told to return to the station. She was meet by the very irate news director and was fired.

The stupidity of these looney left marches is that the ever-so-pious soccer mom is walking with people who would love to see her heterosexual, Eurofascist, elite bourgeois sell-out carcas hanging from a tree. What a diseased, phony fellowship these people affect.
To: Grampa Dave
She went out as a professional journalist, and stuck it to the hacks in the process. That's a smoooooth life pleasure.
To: ArneFufkin
She thought that she was hired as professional journalist, and they wanted her to be one of pretty faced pawns on tv pushing the left wing agenda. She rated that event right up with getting married and being a mother.
