We must counter the "Virtual March" on washington. Here is one possible way of doing so.

Martin Sheen and other actors have launced a major campaign. On February 26th, every Senate office will receive a call every minute from a constituent, as they receive a simultaneous flood of faxes and e-mail. Hundreds of thousands of people from across the country will send the collective message: Don't Attack Iraq.

We must counter that by using the resouces they provide. The organizations is using the website called www.truemajority.com. I went to this site to see how they plan on carrying this mission out. Basically, they have a page where you give your personal information and then send. But, there is a message that is provided that you can change. This is what I did.

The message contains statements like, "It appears that the Administration is looking for an excuse to go to war, when a peaceful and just solution may be at hand." Yes, we all know that peace is the only way to bring down Saddam. Right!

So just do a little editing of that statement to read something like this, " Saddam Hussain has had 12 years to comply, his time is up and I completely support the President's initiatives to topple his regime. I believe that Saddam will never comply, and that he poses a great threat to the world".

You know, you can put what ever you want in the message box. Just make sure they are reasonable comments.

Anyway, I hope that this will work. If anybody else has any more ideas, they would be welcomed.

I tried to find the email address for moveon.org, which is organizing this event, but failed to do so. I was think that on the date we could flood the email systems. Give it to them, like they are giving it to washington.

If I were organizing such a movement I would make sure MY Message got through no matter what the respondent put! So I do not trust this approach at all!

Especially since it can be done with out using this leftist stuff and consider that if the Senators get a bunch of Messages on the SAME DAY no matter where the come from after a while you run the risk of OUR message being ignored and counted as for the opposition.

If you want to do the same thing then use another system and Do it a Day Earlier then you will nullify the effect of the Left's Movement!

BTW it is impossible to pick the day using your suggestion so there are far more reasons not to do as you suggest than to do it, add to the fact that you just signed up to post here and All kinds of Alarm Bells go off!

go to www.truemajority.com and the message that they provide can be changed.

I think the only way to know if it is truly changed is if you are a US Senator.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it this way, then just write your senator directly.

Well like I said before, I have been on the Guardian's talkboards for over a year.

I guess I forgot about the whole easing into the discussion thing. It has been a long time since I have had to do that. So I apologize for my abruptness. I have just been used to being the only conservative on messageboards and being attacked at every angle.

I have grown tired of the Guardian's boards since they have turned into one big anti-war rally. I cam here to get support. Unfortunatly I might have gone about it the wrong way.

I have long been a supporter of Bush, and I feel that he has been as diplomatic as he can be. The Iraqi people are ready to be liberated. I am no longer concerned about whether or not we find evidence. The evidence is clear that the Iraqis have been oppressed, tortured and murdered for many years. This has made me realize the hypocrisy and gross negligence  of the anti-war crowd. This is why I feel extremely passionate about this issue and wish to put a stop to the idiots in Hollywood who think they speak for the nation and the Iraqis.

Don't worry about it too much. The "trolls" that do this post an anti Bush, anti whatever article and that's it.
They never make any other posts, and are usually banned
before long. That's one way to tell.
Others get nasty and abusive during some of their "debates" and get barred for a time,
but not banned. New people sign on everyday, so it's a very minute portion that are the actual
disruptors. So, welcome to FR and enjoy your stay.
Just watch out on the War on (some)Drugs
and the Civil War(War of Northern Aggression) threads. Those get quite nasty and have their own set
of disruptors, especially the WOD threads.
Watch out for Dane and Kevin Curry. They like to provoke the
