Welcome! Someone was looking for those quotes translated in Spanish to post around Harlem! I posted them on the Estrada activist thread. Great opening post. Schumer is upset with you though!

My jaw just dropped! Guess being a conservative makes you not Hispanic! Unbelieveable!
The black caucus did the same thing to J.C. Watts!

Graham's aide...she seemed a little "snippy"I wonder why? Being bad makes a person cranky. That's a fact. Perhaps we should appeal to their better natures. Tell them that just because they have power, doesn't mean they should use it unwisely. Only bullies do that. (^:

Members of the Congressional Black and Hispanic Caucus(s?)es support Hugo Chavez, but not Miguel. I keep repeating this because it's so clear that their opposition has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with politics....sick, un-American politics, if I may say so.

Menedez is either really pompous or really stupid to make comments like that one you posted. How do you think Bob would feel if people accused him of "not being Hispanic enough" because his skin was too white or because he has virtually no Spanish accent? Pretty crappy I would think. Every single Hispanic opposed to Estrada is a Democrat and they should be man-enough or woman-enough to admit that the reason they oppose Estrada is not because he isn't a "true" Hispanic, but because he is a Republican that may or may not be conservative.

Un-American politics is right! DemocRATs have absolutely no integrity left IMO!

Ragtime Cowgirl, I just wanted to compliment you on your passion for the confirmation of Miguel Estrada. You have been truly outstanding and we all join with you! This man deserves confirmation..and as far as the Supreme Court down the line, I would be thrilled! The RATS treachery must be stopped!

We need to email President Bush and thank him for speaking out for Estrada. Right now of all times, Estrada is probably far down his list of what keeps him up at night. Bush's email and contact info is at the end of this thread.

FREEPers, I have created the ultimate Estrada activism thread. On it you will find ways to contact Senators, newsspapers, radio/tv people, organizations etc. Go there and help support Estrada. Keep the thread bumped until we get him confirmed.

Thank you for the kind comments. Supporting Miguel is easy...rather like supporting the neighborhood Eagle Scout over the neighborhood bullies, lol!
The RATS treachery must be stopped!
Amen.

Colmes says he's more pissed off about the commercials being "race-baiting" than anything else surrounding the Estrada Nomination. When will the dems realize their own tactics have gone too far!!!???

Welcome! Your state has two Republican senators (Bond and Talent), but perhaps you can still help. Do you speak Nebraskan?

Have you heard when the Republicans may expect to be at full complement? It may still be a few weeks for McConnell to be there full time but I'd guess he could be around for votes sometime earlier. Wasn't his surgery the first part of Feb?
