But will be in Sante Fe NM that weekend. I am locked in for a wedding.......

Sounds like a plan.
No more Alamos! Let us support our brave troops before the battle begins, not merely lament that they fought bravely in the face of overwhelmingly well supported enemy troops.

So where's the Sylvan theatre? I'll be in the NoVa area and may try to make it.
Reminder: support our troops and don't forget to support our nominees! Contact your Senators on their little paid VAcation and demand they keep the Dim's feet to the fire on the threatened filibuster of Estrada.

I LOVE Glenn Beck. When Rush is gone, he may be the one.

"The worst thing to happen to Talk Radio. What a pant-load."
Here's a great idea! Let's all argue about Glenn Freaking Beck's radio persona, and divide ourselves up (AGAIN!) over stupid goddamned subjective TRIVIA while the communists dupe MILLIONS of sheeple into the streets!
Brilliant!

I believe it is near the Washington Monument, 15th SW and Independence?

Some people love onions.... I hate them, along with Beck. More power to you!

Chris Baker just announced a Rally for America planned for March 1 at Jones Plaza, noon to 2. That one would be easier to get to (although I'd love to have an excuse to go to San Antone!!!) ;-)

I *just* heard about the specs on Glenn Beck's program earlier today. I don't get to hear his broadcast every day because of occasional scheduling conflicts, but I did hear something about a rally on Monday's program.
Now all I have to do is find out where the Rivercenter Mall Amphitheater is. The last time I went to the Rivercenter Mall was about three years ago. There's one really good thing about this, though -- I know for certain I'll be able to find parking now. The mall has a parking garage adjacent to it. It would've been next to impossible to find parking if the event had been held at some other downtown location. Downtown parking is notoriously atrocious. Another good thing -- can you say "food court"?? *grin*

Just heard about it on the way home. I am quite certain there is already a thread on it.
Somebody clone me, so I can attend both. While I now plan on attending the Houston rally, I will continue to ping/bump other efforts.

#1) Who in the heck is Glen Beck?
and
#2) Does this mean I'll have to stop listening to sports talk radio?
To: Burr5
Gotta agree with you Burr. But Glenn is defintitely not for the old fuddy duddy club, but he's hilarious with a wicked punch.
Definitely my favorite talk show and I listen to Rush and Hannity as well.

Interesting you should mention that. I feel that Glenn Beck is the Gen-X version of Rush Limbaugh. I'm sure there are quite a few of you who hate the "Gen-X" label, but for people such as myself, this is the most succinct way of describing the generation just before ours ("Generation Y", according to American Demographics). Anyway, Glenn Beck is a little more appealing to me than Rush is, even though I am a huge Rush Limbaugh fan, and I thank God I was able to find him on the radio.
In fact, I've got the Glenn Beck theme song stuck in my head at the present moment ("Let's get going with Glenn Beck!"). I am dying to find out who does his show's original music. I would love to buy that band's material because it's about as raw as Babes in Toyland and White Zombie (music from my youth!) without being as lame as some of the "nu-metal" that's going around.
La la la la laaaaa...

Click on the source link. He's got some audio up explaining the freedom rally concept.
Some like him, some hate him. Personally, I think he is the future of conservative talk radio for the younger generations.

Yikes! I debated if I should use the term Gen-X (my generation) in my post, and opted for younger generation. I think if his detractors gave him the time, they would get over the "white hot hate" phase Glenn warns new listeners about.
I'm pretty sure some Christian band wrote the original song for his theme. I'll see if I can find it.
Take care, ya sick freak!!
