I do wish he would come out and say it plainly. That would be another nail in the Dems' coffin.

Went to browse the Mirror. The guy with the bandages is David Beckham, star player for Manchester United and Mr. Posh Spice. Sir Yob, I'm guessing, is his coach, Sir Alex Ferguson. Apparently they had a slight difference of opinion in the locker room, Sir Alex kicked a shoe across the room and hit Beckham over the eye. At least that's what the story says.

Carter has nothing to worry about. This war (and battle) is definitely not being fought his name. It's being fought in the name of Americans, a group to which he does not belong.

The Mirror header is about one David Beckham, Englands premier footballer(soccer). Married to Posh Spice. An official threw a tantrum at the end of a soccer match. A Sir Alex Ferguson, so styled. He kicked a boot in his rage, it flew up and hit poor Beckham.
Old reader 1939- 1955, sporadically, of the London Daily Mirror here. I hold it that it and the BBC must have inspired in part, Orwell's 1984. The part being the power of control of the media. Churchill went to the polls after his leadership of Britain, it was 1945. The Daily Mirror threw every slur, every scare tactic, all but the kitchen sink at Churchill and his Conservatives.
Churchill went down to defeat. Six years after the Labour Party had ruled, Churchill gained power. The Mirror had associated Churchill, with the brutally hard rule of Baldwin and Chamberlain, which cut back severely on the unemployed. This was over many years before Churchill had any say as a policy maker..
When Churchill finally ruled it was jobs, jobs, and more jobs- I know, as I worked then. Former President Carter has now sunk quite low. He may as well gone on the Jerry Springer show.

This gotta be a new low for Mr. 444 days...
what a disgrace, why are we still paying for his personal security..if one of the bin laden thugs got him, I will say - good riddance - the American people will free you from the thugs after 444 days.

Wasn't there a time when ex-presidents, even of a different political party than the current one, would not comment about world affairs? Another legacy of the 60's I guess. Democrats will never shut up during Republican administrations now.

Carter has harmed, embarassed and weakened his country, and not surpisingly been awarded a nobel prize for doing so. But also his singular ego gave us the greatest president of the 20th century RR. Our nation is eternally grateful to him for that, and nothing else.

There is a good deal to be said for the down-and-dirty method of using a moron like Jim-mah as a Leftist bellwhether and making policy analysis based on their resistance rather than their reasoning processes.
If Jim-mah weren't married to Roselyn, he wouldn't have enough spinal cord to stand up. She was, like Eleanor and Hillary, the greater half of the Carter act.

Jimmy Carter-----same to you---don't do anything or say anything again in my name either. You don't represent this nation's feelings in the least!
