If you love this idea (takin' it to the streets) but there's just no way you can get to DC, I cannot encourage you more to organize a rally in your hometown on March 1.
It doesn't matter if you live in a small town or a big city. Gather up your kids and the family dog and take your signs of support to a busy intersection, a military base, or the town square, as other FReepers have done. Folks will join you. They will honk their horns in support. And your little town paper will report it. The movement will grow; it just needs someone to lead the charge.
If an FR chapter near you is holding rallies and you haven't gone out yet, now is the time to do it. They will welcome you like family.
God Bless you all, and let's take it to the streets!

Bump for FR rallies (hopefully, in warmer weather.)

The leftists have gotten numbers by coordinating the efforts of all the like-minded and nearly like-minded organizations they can think of.
What would happen if a coalition of conservative and pro-America groups got together to demonstrate the opposite of "anti-war?"
The opposite is not "pro-war." It is a "Pro-Soldier, Pro-Freedom" Rally!! Schedule it far enough in the future to allow time to organize. Make it on a Saturday.
"Pro-Soldier, Pro-Freedom" Rally!

I'll be there. And so will my intensely right-wing fourteen-year-old daughter and my son, General Patton.

Right ON! We need to clog the streets of Washington, right in front of the French Embassy--bring a mercedes-benz(junker) and sledge hammers. Tho it should be on March 2, then we could March 2 March 2. This not pro-war. Pro-Freedom, Free the Iraqi 15 million, Remember the Towers

I gather there is a rally being planned for Seattle that day (March 1st).

L.A. Freepers could return to the Wilshire and Veteran locale where the 2000 election rallies were held. No doubt our raggedy anti-America pals with their drums, etc., would show up, but we had great success with our rallies back in 2000.
Anybody up for it in March??????
To: tgslTakoma
You know, I found it, uh "interesting" that the so-called peace rallies were covered a great deal by the media, but the counter-protests weren't even mentioned. (If they were, it was some little snippet sandwiched somewhere.)

A ping! (with a self-serving element)
If you can, please take a look at this thread and send an e-mail to the President!
Also, be aware...at a certain 'rat site, there is some discussion of trying to infiltrate the rally with counter-demonstraters.

I have been searching the internet for an "anti-Sadam" rally to counter the recent "peace" demonstrations. Is your March 1 rally being organized as a Free Republic event? Can't you join forces with other organizations, unite like-minded Americans who stand behind their president? I want very much to participate, but I want it to be BIG. Not a couple of hundred of people. . . I would like to see thousands of people. If you pool your efforts with other groups and really get the word out, it could happen! What do you think?

Thousands marched in San Diego last weekend in support of our 250,000 sailors and soliders already in the Gulf ... but the local and national media cameras were nowhere to be found :(
Has anyone suggested that the other side might want to look up and read the "sedition" statutes in the U.S. Code before their next embarassment? At least the leaders?
