Russia delivered the latest batch of advanced SU-30MKK fighter bombers to China within the past month and additional jets are on the way, according to U.S. intelligence officials.
Russia's arms exports used to be public. But under pressure from Beijing, Moscow agreed to keep secret its major weapons systems transfers to China.

No you have a "bridge" and a "dam" to hide us in China.
You know so much about us and the Chinese, don't you.
I LOVE RUSSIAN AIRCRAFT
And why not? If not against America, against whom? And for whom? Or has the world become sinless?
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do.
I sure as hell know more than most of the Prozac-deficient goofballs screaming "The Commies Are Coming! The Commies Are Coming!"
I don't get my analysis of the world strategic situation from Y2K scare-monger websites like WorldNutDaily; I use professional-grade sources, including various US intelligence agencies' public reports and outfits like the NIPP, the Heritage Foundation, and the IISS.
In the case of China, their most likely opponent is Russia.
I see you care a lot too.
Because it's not the federal government's job to save people overseas from themselves.
In the 1980s when Ethiopia was gripped by a brutal civil war into which almost all its government funds were poured - while the country was ravaged by famine...it wasn't the US federal government's job to send enormous amounts of aid and relief....but we did.
When civil war and famine killed at least 300,000 people in Somalia a decade ago, and the country became filled with wretched, walking skeletons it wasn't America's job to send large quantities of food and medicine. But we did.
In 1994, when Rwanda erupted into ethnic violence that killed at least 800,000 people in twelve weeks, it wasn't the United State's job to lead the world in shipping food, medicine, doctors, technicians, and medical equipment to try to save the dying masses huddled in Rwandas filthy refugee camps. But we did.
It wasn't the US Govt's job to give upwards of $22 billion in food, industrial equipment, clothing, and agricultural supplies to help the worlds needy under the Marshall Plan and the UNRRA, but we did.
It hasn't been America's job, when natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods, famine and disease decimate foreign populations, to be the first - and sometimes the only - nation in the world to lend assistance. But we almost always are.
Unlike yourself, I am proud of Americas track record as clearly the most awe-inspiring model of benevolence in the recorded history of mankind.
Meanwhile, we are quietly working on Mach-6
The ChiComs have a LOT of problems to overcome, and they have very little time to overcome them before the Gods of the Copybook Headings do the Monster Mash on the ruins of the PRC. And their most recent performance re: SARS indicates that, like all totalitarian systems, they aren't able to muster the self-honesty necessary to actually admit to and fix those problems.
The question with Russia and China is not "When will they attack the US?"
It's "Which one will be the first to fight a nuclear civil war?"
The black budget didn't shrink appreciably during the Post-Cold War era--and they went bonkers making sure it STAYED black. God only knows what's flying out of Groom Lake these days.
Indeed, if the US is not willing to take a stand, we are not much of an opponent.
Well, chickenhawk, I don't see you out there with a rifle and a bayonet, waiting to charge the godless ChiCom horde...
Well let's make Art Bell proud.
It's "Which one will be the first to fight a nuclear civil war?"
No no no no no, this is for after. America stands as a force against global chaos and nuclear civil war as you say. Nuke civil war is not in the offing so long as the US is here. Remember, Russia and China perfectly understand that the last one to sin in nuclear war is the winner. They have zero incentive to fight each other right now.
They may let Saddam annoy us, maybe Pakistan and India do something, but all these people know that it would be great if the US could disarm while they are arming and thus could be prosecuted. That would make them even more important.
Your faith in our ability to stabilize the entire world is breathtaking.

Maybe you misunderstood.
It won't be Russia vs. China. It's a choice of China vs. China, or Russia vs. Russia.
I know where my debts lay.
No, your lack of faith in the US is breathtaking. Sure our prayers have only defeated the Nazies, Imperial Japan and put some sort of order in Europe and South East Asia, that is quite an underachievement for some in terms of stabilizing force.
