The Dems stepped in it, big time. Hispanics have been calling in to Rush---he took four in a row, and said he could have taken 100 today---who are outraged over the Dems' treatment of Estrada.
Every one claimed to be either a Dem or a "former" Dem, with a couple of them virtually switching today. They ALL spoke highly of Bush. The idiot Dems have no idea how badly this is hurting them!!!

For those who weren't listening - the callers were not just calling in - they were outraged, their voices cracked etc.

Rush REALLY hit a hot button when he said "You Hispanics are now the #1 minority in the U.S., which makes you the Dems #1 Second Class Citizens!!!" Eeeeeewwwww!

I just hope the Republican don't overplay their hand. I watched most of the debate last night and was a bit uncomfortable with how often Senator Hatch kept saying "Hispanic". As if he was tying to say the rats were racist in their rejections of him.
(And please, save the propaganda replys...I don't think the rats are any more racist than any other group in society...They're against this guy because he's conservative. No other reason.)

I don't think the political fallout for this blunder is limited to the Hispanic community.
This country is at WAR.
There is FEAR. Stores are selling out of DUCT TAPE for Christ sakes.
Democrats are being watched very, very closely by independents and democrat voters who have become disillusioned by recent shenanigans, and the fact that some of them can't help but like George Bush. This is a group at least as large as that represented by Hispanic voters and will no doubt see the fillibuster as the obstructionism than it is, as one more reason to see the democratic party as weak on defense, and will be the cathartic memory when they're in that voting booth alone.
CHA-CHING!!!!

Cisneros was also indicted for bribery for paying off a former mistress when mayor of San Antonio. Clinton also had Federico Pena at Transportation, but moved him after Pena said that ValueJet was safe days after the crash in Florida.
So I was right and Rush was wrong

Lest we forget - Hispanics, from the recent US Census, are now a larger minority group within the United States than African-Americans.
Oh, the implications ...

Dems are screwed - there's one reason, and one alone, they're doing this: ABORTION!!!
They will risk losing any other demographic if need be to preserve the one "right" that is sacred to their ideology.
They have millions of $$$ pouring in from the Planned Parenthood/NARAL gangs to fight tooth and nail to preserve the slim majority needed to keep Roe/Wade from being overurned someday.

Exactly and the GOP is playing the race card and should not be
Blacks sure didn't desert the democrats over Thomas . In fact the majority hate him

Sure, but with what integrity?
The claim against Clinton's picks was that they were more for "photo-op" than for quality.

American voters have a very short memory
This will all be forgotten by Nov 2004

No, you are wrong. Rush specifically said, "Clinton did not appoint any Hispanics to the federal bench."

The dems have made a major miscalculation - In the past they have been able to attack black appointees by calling them an uncle tom and the black voting block was able to sell the idea to it's voters.. The hispanic voters don't see fellow hispanics as uncle toms for their association with mainstream America or success - they won't buy the vilification of one of their own. Dems are really stepping in it.

I think you are very much on target with that comment. It strikes me that the pecking order in the Demwit Party is:
Pro-aborts
Envirowackos
Hollywood
Blacks
Big Labor
Hispanics
