[history]
LUKEVILLE - A U.S. Customs inspector fatally shot a motorist Thursday who had apparently threatened him during an attempted inspection at a border crossing, a spokesman said.
The driver of the sports utility vehicle was crossing from Mexico into Arizona when he aroused suspicions that he might be smuggling something, said Customs spokesman Roger Maier.

ho hum those SUV drivers again

I don't care if they start shooting people at random when they cross the border if it will discourage Criminal Infiltration

Note to self---In times like these never behave in a threating manner to an armed man wearing a badge.

I bet it turns out to be an American citizen who asked why they were rousting him when there was a hundred wetbacks sneaking under the fence, so they shot him for being uppity.

Second note to self: If you treat others as you would want to be treated, your odds of survival increase greatly. This rule has been in effect for a few thousand years.
If you can get shot at a border for being cocky and rude, that's a good thing. Especially at that New York/New Jersey border area.
Be polite. It just might save your life.

This one is definitely odd -- no real detail at all.

Ha, this article puts the whacko's here in a quandary. Do they knee-jerk a spew about jack-booted thugs, or are they forced to acknowledge that the US actually did something to enforce the border?

Take it a step further. What if the driver was an illegal alien trying to smuggle in pot. Which way do you go then?

Take it a step further. Now make the person in question Al Qaeda. And ask why we leave so much of the border wide open. BTW, regarding the pot, the dude would have been bringing it into this country, an action which is well within the Constitutional regulator powers of the federal government to regulate. Unfortunately, they're too busy prosecuting a guy growing weed for medical marijuana use that doesn't cross state lines, instead of doing their actual Constitutional duties of guarding the border.
