Here's a note I just received from Senator Allen's office (I signed that petition.)

I want to thank you for signing the petition of support for Miguel Estrada and for sharing your thoughts and feelings about the Democrats continued obstruction. It is through this sort of dialogue with Republican activists that the NRSC is able to communicate Americans' support for the President's nominees to the Judiciary.

Hey, how come our public servants get a whole week off for President's Day, while the rest of us - who pay their salaries - just get one (and some of us don't get it off period!).

A Dem is not going to put their fanny on the line if there are not enough votes to get cloture. I would think they have 55-57 votes.

I would expect that Frist is going to be working the phones over the recess. For example, he may tell Landrieu that if she wants any hope of getting preferential treatment of La. sugar farmers, she better vote for cloture.

If a Dem wants to see anything come up for a vote in the next two years, they are going to have to come to Frist. I think that alone will swing a few votes in favor of cloture.

BTW, Hatch would never tell the troops that this is a done deal. He wants to keep the pressure on.

Plus, He wants to keep the pressure on. Remember that Orren is a good Mormon. No coke, coffee or booze.

According to Byrd Bush wants nme to die from a home land terrorist attack.

"Someone said that Hatch sounded down and was only going to give this nomination 10 more days. "

He sounded exasperated with the dems to me. He did say they were giving this 10 more days and cited several reasons why. I was on the phone and didn't get much of that part but it had to do with Republican senators who have legitimate reasons for not being able to be there. For instance the heart bypass McConnell just had, another one whose wife has to have some serious surgery, etc. He is worried they might not have the 50 if they wait. He wants the public to kick up a fuss about it. I've been properly outraged in all my calls to democrats over the waste of taxpayer time and money while they all get face time. Democrats can't stand it when they think we think they are wasting OUR money. Hehehehe. I'm saying, vote yes or no, but stop wasting time and money especially during a time of war.

Don't worry VRMC. Byrd is senile and a few hundred thousand of my buddies are gonna make sure you're not a victim of one of those attacks.

Dear Ms. Feinstein:

I heard you speak today on Miguel Estrada's nomination.

It is amazing to me that you hold him, and by association Hispanic-Americans throughout California in such contempt. You have sacrificed both your integrity and your duty to your California constituents by following the Democrat Party herd in prolonging this filibuster.

I, and many like me, will remember your words, your behavior and your disdain at the next election.

Shame on you, Senator Feinstein. I am disappointed in your unwillingness to speak your mind and adhere to the principals of fairness for such a distinguished jurist as Miguel Estrada.

Do what's right, Ms. Feinstein. Allow his confirmation vote to come to the floor of the Senate without delay. Please.

There is no greater, stronger orthodoxy within the Democratic coalition than unequivocal support for abortion on demand.

They are fighting for their twisted ethical life commitment. Abortion makes a pregnant woman God, the arbiter of life and death. Abortion - the deification of woman as God - is the worldly vestage of their pagan arrogance, and they fight for it desperately because they are fighting for their conception of the destiny of their souls, and the accounting of their earthly acts.

The Feminists are scared sheeyatless that their assumption of Godlike infallability might carry a heavy heavy payback. Same with the Gays/Lesbians. The Communist power thugs. The Hollywood whores. It's psychotic fearfullness that their self-medicating delusions will no longer have universal legal sanction - that a secular-free manifestation of their warped religion will make them come to grips with their destiny. They'll scratch and corrupt and lie and kill to avoid that wakeup call. And, their political sponsors .... TA DA ... ergo the Senate filibuster .... have no choice but to scratch, corrupt, lie and kill for them ... and for themselves because they are God too and they have a lot of money riding on this scam.

The problem is that the media is using quotes from the democrats (esp. one from Feinstein this morning about the war) as part of their news breaks on the radio each hour. This gives the impression to the sheeple that there IS regular business going on in the senate, and that the Democrats, at least, are still focusing on the war effort!! That's what letting the democrats get away with saying that it's the rupublicans that are stalling the business of the senate. IT SUCKS, because most of the sheeple don't have a clue what's really going on!!! ARGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

A book entitled "Domestic Tranquility" explained it very well for me.

Because of Roe v. Wade abortion numbers have exploded sky high in the U.S. People in favor of abortion rights (for the most part, liberals), find themselves having to compensate somewhere else for this legalized genocide that they really won't admit it is.

That's why we hear such touchy feely, lovey-dovey, peace, anti-war, anti-death penalty, bend over backwards to understand psychopaths, toleration of all kinds of anti-social behavior rhetoric spew forth from their mouths.

They need to show that even though they will fight to the death to allow the continuation of baby-killing, despite that wee little flaw, liberals are oh so kind, oh so compassionate, oh so understanding, oh so tolerant, oh so giving (of your money and mine), oh so worried about the poor, oh so concerned about the innocents fortunate enough to have left the womb.
