I don't think Bush is looking for recess appointments as his strategy. If he did he would have done this last year. I think he is using the judge issues as a method to divide and conquer the senate rats.

Just called Hatch, First and Lugar office. Bayh's didn't answer. Told them NOT TO BACK DOWN. Force the vote or filibuster. Use those phones.

I've been dismayed but now I am, finally, thoroughly disgusted.GOOD! Stay that way! You have lots of friends here that feel exactly the same way you do!

Bush hasn't used recess appointments of judges up to now. Until now, the RATs have not filibustered judicial confirmations. The situation has changed.

We got through to both numbers, so there are NOT ENOUGH people bothering to Call.

Hatch 202-224-5251
Frist 202-224-3344">>
From Typing Class: Now is the time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their party!
Man the phones and tell them to keep it going for as long as the Democrats can stand it. IT would be criminal for the Republicans to Throw in a Winning Hand!!!!

And she attacked President Bush directly for "secretly" attempting to strip women of their abortion rights.

"I think the evidence on Hillary is convictable but the problem IMO is that they would never get a conviction in the D. C. circuit! "
Yes, I can fully appreciate the argument about the evidence not being convictable in a DC court. Still, Estrada's nomination is to the appeals bench. He would not preside over any original trial, he would hear appeals to rulings, decisions etc from a lower DC court. If it ever got that far then he might be in a position to hurt her but I just don't realistically see that happening, not with a DC jury pool. I just can't allow myself to hope that she will ever be called to account for her crimes. Not in this life. I do believe that Hell has an especially hot corner reserved for her and Bubba.

They worship at the altar of Kate Michaelman.
NARAL, Emily's list, and Hillary control the money for Dem campaigns, obtained from liberal deep pockets, because democrat constituencies do not have an ethic of contributing as individuals to the candidates of their choice.
Anyone who watched the Celebration of the Sacrament of Abortion on CSPAM on the Eve of the March for Life (Anniversary of the ROE v WADE decision) saw 6 Democrat presidential hopefuls take their marching orders from Ms Michaelman. She was perfectly clear in demanding that every politician at the banquet NEVER cast a vote in favor of a person who was not strongly pro-abortion.
The video probably exists in the CSPAM archives.

It forces the dems to stand up and vote on the record AGAINST giving Estrada an up or down vote..
To: aristeides
If they adjourn the Senate to go home, then he should just give him a recess appointment and be done with it!

I have a feeling that Frist has something up his sleeve......a scalpel, perhaps?
To: justshe
That's why we have to stand and fight this one whatever it takes because we will have no judges approved!

Ok I'm a father of three daughters. I don't have a problem with that particular "right" being stripped away and buried DEEP in the ground.
