Has anyone bought plastic and tape as mentioned by Tom Ridge. I am sure some hard core Freepers already have it, left over from Y2K. I remember reading stories how the Israelis had all this stuff at the ready.
When is the Hajj over? When does Hajji come home? Will MSNBC run a Countown to Hajj ticker?
Maybe we should tape Gravis into his chair.

Gas went from 1.55 to 1.79 today here in Mn. Here in the DFW area its been raised 2or3 cents per day for the last week and a half. My favorite station has gone from 1.27 to 1.57 in that time.

Lucky you...
We heard gas will be at $ 2.00 + per gallon next week....... UH.

Almost three years ago, shortly after my divorce, my middle step-daughter was taking French in Junior High School. Her teacher was quite the Francophile, and Jenniffer (yes, two f's) asked if I knew any good French jokes. So I told her this one:
Why is the Champs Elysee lined with trees?
Because the German Army likes to march in the shade!
She called me at home that night and told me that, for some reason, it made her Francophile French teacher very angry.

I agree. I've ranted here several times on what a dumbbell Fatso Tommy Ridge is. Every time he opens his stupid mouth, the DOW drops another 500 points!Maybe you should invest in duct tape.

When I used to keep my duct tape and heavy plastic sheeting in the car, the cops looked at me funny.
When I brought it in the house, my wife looked at me funny.
Does Tom Ridge really know what he's doing?

I can't belive I just read your entire post and took notes. This world has come to a hell I never wanted to imagine me or my family living in. I am literally being told by my government to stock up on supplies in case of a bio or radio attack.
Yet the easiest way to help prevent this is not happening...close the fucking borders.

Dunno. I bought all of mine in 9/01. Did have some of the cheap plastic jugs of bottled water spring a leak(inside closet with steady temps.).

In Naples, Florida gas is at $2.02 a gallon for Super and 1.90 for regular. I could not believe my eyes. Also, the water and battery shelves at K-Mart were damn near empty.

You really should refrain from giving advice about something you obviously know nothing about.

Maybe they all saw the "dropcloth" scene in Lethal Weapon II.

The least Uncle Sam could do is make sure we all have a roll of duct tape with every pot of soup.

Remember the days of the Cuban Missile Crisis when the schools had disaster drills? In my area, they told the schools in Pittsburgh to send the kids walking towards Philadelphia. The kids in Philly were told to walk towards Pittsburgh, hehehe.
