Freeping the AirWaves - A Positive Message!
American Patriot Defenders ^ | Tuesday, February 11, 2003 | PDN Freeper News

Posted on 02/11/2003 10:56:56 AM PST by comwatch

It was a coast to coast effort on Clear Channel Talk Radio last night. Freepers SeenTheLight - San Francisco, Kristinn - Washington D.C. and Comwatch - Sacramento, took to the airways with talk show host Mark Williams for an hour long segment after Mark's popular "War Room". The boards at the station lit up and one caller from the opposition camp gave us all a practical lesson on just who these protesters are and how they react to the truth. They are losing the heart and minds of America with each demonstration. A dedicated group of of your fellow Freepers plan to take the Talk Radio campaign to the next level this weekend with live reporting from counter demonstrations around the country.

"We saw this kind of internet/talk radio networking in November/December 2000" says co-organizer Dave Jenest of Patriot Watch. part of the American Patriot Defenders Network. "Were at a time in our history where that spirit is needed again... we came very close to losing our way of life, the traditions this nation was founded upon. It was the grass roots conservative movement, outraged by the election crisis, that galvanized otherwise apathetic Americans. Today it's the threat of U.N. domination over our Constitution and the masses protesting around the country that must be countered in the mainstream media.  This is one of our goal - resistance and speaking the truth. The media is just beginning to hear us over the roar of the hate America opposition."

Promotion for your efforts? Freeper Chapters Wanted!

We'd like to invite you to help network Freepers on talk radio before, during and after counter-protests.  Here's a couple of the on the air talk show hosts who have joined in that effort. Would you consider adding your favorite talk show host to the equation and appointing a spokesperson from your group to be a guest on these shows?  Last night, we joined with San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Sacramento for an hour long informative program on 50,000 watt clear channel station, KFBK.

The goal is simple: Get more people involved and get our message out. We'll see that your contacts are included in press releases and will have teams of people working behind the scenes to support the front line troops as they meet the opposition face to face on the streets of America much like we did in November/December 2000.

What's Involved?

  1. Be the voice for your area! Send us your cell phone numbers so hosts can call you.
  2. Share a few photos of you event.
  3. Send your press releases for our resdistribution.
  4. Develop or cultivate an existing relationship with talk show hosts in your area.
  5. Send us air dates and times like the examples below.
  6. Help us reach out to the national on air personalities so they will want time with you!
  7. Help us build a long term national strategy for countering the opposition camp.
  8. Preserve a moment in history for you own friends and family to share.

Thanks for the practical suggestions. I think we can handle a little rain should it come our way, but it always helps to be prepared!

In the words of our very own Jimmy Valentine's brother, it never rains on the (DC Chapter)... we do, at times, get heavily misted.

But we always have fun.

Talk radio in San Francisco and here in Sacramento will drive this effort locally. We'll be following their lead. We should be working at getting a seat at the table. I think it would be a great idea to contact those stations a suggest a site like this one. They may already have one in mind, but you never know.

One thing I know for sure, we can't count on you all to make a Freeper Showing and promote the heck out of it. I'm also suggesting we might consider a "Feeper Section" at these larger events so:
  1. The world will know we're there, and
  2. We'll have a chance to meet each other

Depending on the dates that get set, plan on the Sacto crew attending other's events if they fall on different dates. The Bunker will have the welcome matt out for anyone coming to Sacramento.

Big Opps.... that "One thing I know for sure, we can't count on you all ..." is a typo. :-(

I know we CAN count on you all!

Yes, Time to set our own course! No need to follow the left from rally to rally.

How about a NATIONAL DAY OF SUPPORT, or NATIONAL DAY OF TRIBUTE, where rallies across the U.S. are held simultaneously? Do we have the organizational skills to pull this off? Should most of these rallies happen at military bases?

That's a good idea, but this time around it looks like this is being organized by radio people, not us, so we may have to go along with their plans.

Simultaneous rallies would be tough logistically, but not impossible---for future reference.
