February 10, 2003 -- COLLEVILLE-SUR-MER, France - They stand only 3 feet high, but they're towering mountains of sacrifice.

I'm standing in the American Cemetery. Gray clouds hang low as if in mourning for the nearly 10,000 young Americans buried beneath crosses and Stars of David that stretch as far as the eye can see.

Actually, France hasn't forgotten a thing --- their priorities have shifted. They have their money tied up in oil deals and they have their French way of doing things and they have their terrorism in France. The French....we will never forget!

Dig them up and bring them home. I don't care what it costs. Put a 10% tax on French and German imports.

Tax, hell, simply seize enough French assets here to pay the cost of bringing our boys home.

But, didn't we go to war against Hitler just for our own imperialistic and selfish gain? You know, like how Bush now just wants to go to war against Iraq 1) for oil and 2) to take over the Middle East, force countries into democracies with hand-picked yes-men to Bush/America? </ sarcasm>

The french are shameless thankless fools.

You know, like how Bush now just wants to go to war against Iraq... to take over the Middle East,

Yup, just like in WWII when we began taking over the countries in Europe and Asia and then all the other countries had to band together to stop us and fought that war (WWII) to save them from our imperialis... Oh wait, that wasn't us. That was Germany and their co-horts.

But then, after the war, when we took over those countries, and ruled them and took their natural resources and sent it to the US and never helped out those countries or anything.

GRRR. We are the ONLY country that hasn't taken over when victorious.

I'm tired of this. Let's nuke 'em 'till they GLOW.

Another FReeper raised an interesting point ...

How will these graves of Christians and Jews be treated when France turns Muslim and institutes Sharia law?

Return the Fallen to the US now ... before it's too late.

Someone said that the french hate us because we showed up late to help them during WW2. We have learned from our mistake...Next time we will not show up at all.

These people are disgusting. HALF their own freaking nation collaborated with HITLER rather than "be overrun." The mighty French army had to rely on U.S. planes and ships just to get it back to its own soil.

Now the Germans are getting into the act. Napoleon once said, at Waterloo, "I made one mistake. I should have burned Berlin." Remember, Napoleon wasn't French!

We ARE the only country that hasn't taken over when victorious.

Worth repeating (albeit, subtly different emphasis). And I am very tired of this, as well; it's bad enough to hear it from countries we protect and/or have been victorious over, after spending trillions of dollars in aid/protecting/repairing their infrastructure....but to have to listen to this same shrill rhetoric from the liberal commie Rats in our own country is just over the top!
