"Change of heart" be damned.
Saddam and sons aren't quite ready for martyrdom -- but they're going to have it.

Too late Sadam, Bush already said "The Game is Over." So we have anthrax documents (undoubtedly complete and accurate /sarcasm). What about the VX nerve gas, ricin and all the other poisons. The fact is, if these things were disposed of, Sadam had no reason to withold these docs the first time around! At this point, documents mean zilch. Come up with goods, or else. The rest of the world and stupid libs may fall for this. Bush won't. Now we get to see if Bush can stand up to ignorance and political pressure in the face of this newfound Iraqi "change of heart."

Rice summed it up well today: Saddam's tactics of "cheat and retreat" are all too predictable. A day late and a dollar short, as my grandpa used to say.

[Blix said that Iraq has promised a response by Friday to a UN request for use of U2 surveillance planes. We should have a response on that issue before Friday, Blix said.]
Or else the bombardment will commence on Saturday (Bush said, in so many words).

It is not a change of heart because they didn't have a heart in the first place.

Have you ever gone to the carnie?
Wondered just how that one guy could always be so lucky at the 3 card monty table?
Then finally figured put how the carnie workers draw the rubes in, with a shill?
Blix and company aint that bright.
They are being conned and they don't even know it

Were beginning to see another change of heart from Iraq, ElBaradei said. Where's a hardened boolsheet meter when you need one?
Mine's pegged and stuck.

Fall back position. This is probably something that meant nothing to him that he planned to use in just such an instance at this stage of the game. It means nothing. Well it does mean that we're still being played, but that's about it.

We should have a response on that issue before Friday, Blix said. BS! As if Iraq has the option to consider our demands, make a decision about whether or not it'll accede to our demands, and whether or not it'll "respond" to our demands with a definitive "yes" or "no" in its own sweet time.
If we say "jump," delay is only acceptable to ascertain how high.
This is the kind of misunderstanding you're bound to run into when you haven't completely and convincingly conquered an enemy you've conquered.
I'm sure it won't be a problem in the future. Dubya doesn't play games.
Kick their ass and take the gas!

A change of heart, hardly. More games. More stalling. The game is over.

"Change of heart?"
No, just an adjustment in the scheme of things.

Here we go with the Islamic song-and-dance. They've learned from Arafat well.
When in trouble, talk peace; when in doubt, kill the Crusaders and the Jews.
And the rest of the time? Buy time to radicalize the population and build an arsenal.
To: A Patriot Son
Blix: You must cooperate.
Iraq: Oh we forgot about these documents
Bush: Bzzzzzzt, wrong answer !
To: A Patriot Son
"Change of Heart"...
Most likely not --- more likely, the enemy stalling for time.
