ANNAN: 'DON'T GO IT ALONE' (VOMITING TILL YOU DIE ALERT)
Sky News ^ | February 8, 2003 | Sky News

UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has warned the United States against launching a unilateral attack on Iraq.

He argued that action under a UN umbrella would have greater legitimacy and better odds of success.

In an address marking the 310th anniversary of William and Mary College, Annan stressed that force should be used only as a last resort.

But if the UN Security Council concludes, after a key report by UN inspectors due on Friday, that Iraq is not disarming as required by council resolutions, "the council must face up to its responsibilities," he said.

"When there is strong UN leadership, exercised through patient diplomatic persuasion and coalition-building, the United Nations is successful.

"The United Nations is most successful to all its members, including the United States, when it is united and works as a source of collective action rather than discord.

"The broader our consensus on Iraq, the better the chance that we can come together and deal effectively with other burning conflicts in the world, which cause untold suffering and which urgently need our attention - from Israel and Palestine to Congo and Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), not to mention our efforts to stabilize Afghanistan," he said.

Here's another one that I dreamed up which would make a great bumper sticker:

Only UNamericans put the UN before America!

Maybe put the UNs in blue.

The big elephant in the room is the UN is really nothing but a cabal of international freeloaders whose existence has morphed into a subsidized jobs program for themselves and their buddies. The entire organization is nothing but a high-falutin' welfare society for the educated elite!

Just imagine. These blowhards get to eat free prime rib six times a week at the finest NY restaurants, park their personal limos wherever they want without fear of parking tickets, live gloriously in posh East Side apartments, eat and drink champagne and brie at their fancy parties every night, shop at SAKs for their fancy pin stripe suits and cashmere coats - and all they have to do is talk nonsense all day long and pass meaningless resolutions for nobody to care about! And, all this is paid for mostly by the USA, of course.

Oh, and as a bonus they get to play "Little Potentate" all day long, tweak the nose of Uncle Sam at will, have tons more influence then their crappy countries deserve and pretend they mean something more than what they really do. An added bonus is they don't have to try and find a real job in their own countries and spend their lives living and working hard to solve their own problems.

Send the entire lot of these effete prissians to Paris. They'll get along just fine with the French, who love that sort of attitude.

Is it any wonder the 911 killers picked the Twin Towers to hit instead of the UN?

"The United Nations is most successful to all its members, including the United States, when it is united and works as a source of collective action rather than discord.

Translation: Without cooperation by the United States, the United Nations is incable of doing anything. In other words, the United Nations is worthless except to the extent legitimacy is provided to it by Washington.

It is time to do away with that home for wayward diplomats that is incapable of providing either security or peace.

! In other words SATAN knows his time is EXTREMELY SHORT!

Yep. The left wing minions are hard at work, aren't they? Their leader and the 666 can't be too far off.
First, we need to see that 7 year contract with Israel where they give up their land "for peace."

Koffi Annan cannot stomach the fact that Bush has more
power than he does. I believe he is a very evil man.

To all: Thank you for three years of lurking pleasure. I am finally joining you to offer my BFO (big fat opinion).

"UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has warned the United States against launching a unilateral attack on Iraq."

How dares this racist commie dictate to America!

Get him and his commie enclave (aka UN) out of the country now.

Kofi, check the outfit you're wearing today. Your irrelevancy is showing!

I am with you all the way -- don't think even what the inspectors are going to say is going to make a difference as the Iraqi's are not disarming but scamming the UN once again.

Time to end the charade once and for all!

I sat here stunned! My words would not pass the political correct patrol. I, like you, am sick and tired of the abuse hurled at this Country and our leaders for standing up against evil which all of them seem reluctant to do.

I have to wonder how much this goes back to 8 years of clinton appeasement and his wandering around the world attempting to undermine Pres Bush and his Administration.

Thanks for your same thoughts! I decided to start posting that because it was right out of the Clinton DemocRAT Party Talking Point papers. I thought the same thing about the speech from Mandela.

You are right -- CIA should be tracking this ex-President as he goes around the world IMO attempting to undermine this President and, in turn, this Country and its security!

"All Koffee is doing is bringing the end of the UN by his actions of attacking us and supporting a madman like Saddam"

Koffee and his ilk at the UN are nothing more than a bunch of commies intent on bringing down the US by dictating to us how we should comport ourselves. Muck them!!

Get the UN out of the US...

Does the Secretary General have any say at all in what goes on in the Security Council? Any place?

We already have one pygmy, still unconvinced that he is no longer Senate Majority leader, expecting our president to clear every decision through him before taking action. Now the Pygmy in charge of the UN monster mentor asylum, presumes to be the guy that the President of the United States answers to- in other words his superior on the chain of command. Sorry Kofi, but you are no more than hyena doo doo, defiling the path.

Here's an idea... Boot the UN, level the UN building, then... construct one whopping big tower/arcology at the WTC site, and its twin at the former UN site

I nominate this best idea of the day.
