ANNAN: 'DON'T GO IT ALONE' (VOMITING TILL YOU DIE ALERT)
Sky News ^ | February 8, 2003 | Sky News

UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has warned the United States against launching a unilateral attack on Iraq.

He argued that action under a UN umbrella would have greater legitimacy and better odds of success.

In an address marking the 310th anniversary of William and Mary College, Annan stressed that force should be used only as a last resort.

But if the UN Security Council concludes, after a key report by UN inspectors due on Friday, that Iraq is not disarming as required by council resolutions, "the council must face up to its responsibilities," he said.

"When there is strong UN leadership, exercised through patient diplomatic persuasion and coalition-building, the United Nations is successful.

"The United Nations is most successful to all its members, including the United States, when it is united and works as a source of collective action rather than discord.

"The broader our consensus on Iraq, the better the chance that we can come together and deal effectively with other burning conflicts in the world, which cause untold suffering and which urgently need our attention - from Israel and Palestine to Congo and Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), not to mention our efforts to stabilize Afghanistan," he said.

Mom, I used my 'social' finger during his little speech, also. lol. I have been so angry for days, three or four, I think, listening to the abuse heaped on our beloved America and allies.

Agreed Ivan. How politically un-correct of them!! Why haven't they considered and debated this aspect of their stance and statments?

Well you see they wouldn't be issuing these kind of insults if John Howard and Tony Blair weren't white.

I'm fed up with the UN in general

Well Koffee forgets .. we are not going this alone, we have 50 other nations behind us

All Koffee is doing is bringing the end of the UN by his actions of attacking us and supporting a madman like Saddam

You really think so, I personally DOUBT it! We are surrounded by LIBERAL Whores who without a shadow of a doubt would come to the UN rescue at the snap of Koffee and RAPISTS fingers! I think we are against a tidal wave of ANTI-CONSTITUTION, ANTI-AMERICAN, ANTI-CHRISTIAN ANTI-BUSH and ANTI-ANYTHING THAT IS HONORABLE, TRUTHFUL AND GOOD! In other words SATAN knows his time is EXTREMELY SHORT! God help us!

Those people no matter what would attack Bush ..

What they fail to understand is this is not about politics .. this is not about oil .. this is about a madman with A LOT of deadly weapons .. who has declared a Holy War on the United States once before

Sorry to hear that Matt...but, Rhode Island does border on the state of "Maximus Commius Massius"...."Hail Buddy and Kennedy carpetbaggers" seems to be in vogue up there.

But, this you know. How about a FReep at your local Mall? Do it... and let us know how it goes.

I've noticed recently, in a few of President Bush's speeches, where he's said that the U.N. may go the way of The League of Nations if it keeps up its present course. I can't quote the President precisely. Did anyone else hear this? I get the feeling that President Bush feels the same way about the U.N. as many Americans - useless and a complete waste of American taxpayers' dollars. I'd love to see America drop out of the U.N. and use the dues as raises for American military personnel.

Support our "NEW Europe" allies.

Buy a Romanian SAR-1 post-ban AK rifle.

Buy a Bulgarian "pre-ban" AK (if you've got the bucks) or an Arcus Hi-Power clone handgun.

Don't buy any "baby blue" stuff unless it's to be used with the above at the target range.

JPFO has some nice UN paper targets for little money and supports the 2nd Ammendment cause.

You mean they are starting to realize how folks in this country feel about the UN?

She seemed equally amazed that the debris was scattered over land including over a hundred acres owned by one person and that the owner was familiar with the land, i. e., recognized debris was something new.

She measured debris as "about a city block and a half from the house." She was young and it was funny. She did mention shock of returning to a one BR apt. in NY.

Too many of those people don't have a clue as to how people live and what goes on west of NYC. But she was kinda "big-eyed" over what she had seen. Piney woods and farms.

To me, the only reason the UN doesn't want the U.S. to go it alone - is that it absolutely points out that the UN is not only unwilling to act, but the U.S. is the sole super power and can defend itself without the UN.

While they're all cowering together accomplishing nothing, we are standing tall and taking action.
