John Carlson on KVI 570 radio in Seattle has a tape of Jim McDermott talking to Roosevelt High School students in Seattle that would make Patty Murray proud.
Templar moneyrunner, what was that surprise spectacular repudiation there at the end?
Well, so am I. I pray that God will have mercy on their souls.
But the bottom line for me is better a few thousand of them than several 100 thousand of us (when all that nasty stuff gets to our shores).
You can't humiliate a Jackasse's behind

Murray to Press - "Patty Tired!"
AP - December 2002 - Dateline Seattle Zoo
An irate Patty Murray swung angrily from her tire here today, denouncing her critics' negative reviews of her remarks praising Osama bin Laden.
"Patty tired!" Day signed as the hirsute congressthing shrieked in rage and flung her feces at rapidly retreating critics. Murray, through her interpreter added "Apple not love tired Patty!"
Zoo officials were at a loss of explain her behavior.
Freepers can hear his comments NOW! (Someone please archive these MP3s. I won't be able to keep these for long at my personal site.)
CLIP 1 (7:33) - McDermott says the administration's strategy of "shock & awe" is similar to Hiroshima. McDermott says the Constitution says the Congress should make the decision to go to war, not the President. This would be the first time in almost 200 years that the US went to war without first being attacked. McDermott compares the US going it alone to "acting like a bully".
CLIP 2 (6:48) - McDermott says what he would do. Caller Mary asks what we can do to get rid of McDermott. Carlson points out that this is part of sort of a teach-in on the war at Roosevelt.
CLIP 3 (6:25) - Carlson says Patty Murray must be relieved now that she has no longer said the most outrageous things. McDermott says we're being ruled by fear & the country is looking at Bush like a father figure. Bin Laden is a terrorist, but what have the Iraqi people done to us? McDermott compares the inspectors to the police searching for marijuana at the school, trying to decide which lockers to examine. With good information they'd eventually find the marijuana. But Bush has refused to give the inspectors any of its info re: where to look.
CLIP 4 (8:45) - Caller Wendy, a '69 Roosevelt grad, is disappointed in her alma mater for letting this happen. Caller Howard, former teacher, says HS students at an assembly are a captive audience. This kind of thing has gone on in Seattle schools for a long time. Carlson says the student who taped the speech, and a student caller from Fri., said the speech didn't go over too well. McDermott tries to scare the students by implying that the Iraq war will bring back the Draft. Carlson says that McDermott himself supports the Draft.
CLIP 5 (7:10) - McDermott compares bombing Iraq with bombing Roosevelt High in order to find a gun in a student's locker.
CLIP 6 (6:55) - McDermott tries to answer student's question "Why did Iraq refuse to turn in their weapons?" He starts off claiming they're defensive weapons. Caller Pat wants to know if there's any way we can impeach the SOB. Carlson says McDermott sounds exactly like a shill for Iraq. Change his accent and he could be the Iraqi foreign minister.
CLIP 7 (8:56) - McDermott says it's all about our addiction to oil. Caller Quentin says McDermott's more sinister than Patty Murray, who may have just had a brain freeze. Caller John asks how long do we have to put up with this guy? It would be a laughable speech if it wasn't given to such a captive audience. John promises to make sure this goes out to more than just the radio station. Caller Steve says McDermott's not a buffoon, he's treasonous.
