I have prayer request for my daughter. My wife just called and they just took my daughter by ambulance to the hospital about 30 minutes from where we live, after another visit to the doctor. She says they found a build up in her right lung and they have her on a oxygen machine and the word for what she has I can't spell. Its not good for a 5 year old. I leaving to go up there in a little while as I have to gather some things first and waiting for my mother-law to get back from her shopping. She does not know yet. Thank you everyone.

It sounds like pneumonia (similar sounding to ammonia).. It is a lung infection that they will find on the x-rays. My mother is currently in the hospital with the same thing, so I do know what you are experiencing...
My prayers go out to you. Pneumonia can be serious, but it sounds like they have caught it and it is very treatable. Did she have a bad cold/cough ???
Please keep us posted --- like I said, I will keep you in my prayers.

Prayers sent. Must be pneumonia. If so, there are two kinds - viral and bacterial. They have to test different antibotics or run tests to identify which bacteria to know which medicine will cure it.
Try not to worry - they will be treating it with medicines that will cure it. The oxygen is to help her get plenty of oxygen until the pneumonia controlled.

Pneumonia is the word. Yes she has been caughing bad. We had seen the doctor but the medicine they gave her didn't help. I have to go now but I will be back later. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to all of you.

Namonya is as close as I can get to spelling the word for what my wife said the doctor told her. Do you mean pnuemonia? If so, I'm sure that she will recover, and the hospital is the best place for her, although she'll be lonly there unless they give you permission to stay with her.
One of my children was hospitalized with pnuemonia at about 1 1/2. The hardest thing was to look up at his room when we parked the car. We waved at him because his crib was in the window and we saw him standing there looking out. He started crying when he spotted us, and it just broke my heart. He was just sobbing uncontrollably by the time I got up to his room.
In those days (late 1960s) they did not accomodate parents who wanted to stay with the children. Now many hospitals do.
