Pneumonia is the word. Yes she has been caughing bad. We had seen the doctor but the medicine they gave her didn't help. I have to go now but I will be back later. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to all of you.

I had pneumonia about 10 years ago. Took a long time to feel better again...about 2 months. My daughter developed a mild case and meds helped her tremendously.
The fact she was taken to the hospital via ambulance makes the situation serious, T.

We had seen the doctor but the medicine they gave her didn't help. That's because her lungs need the help of the ozygen tent which is only available in the hospital. She will get better rapidly, I'm sure.

The only way to truly diagnose pneumonia is by an x-ray, which your regular doctor probably did not order. Probably thought it was a cold or bronchitis or something like that. Quite a bit of that going around.
I've been there --- my mom continues to get this, my husband has had it, etc... Like I said, she is in the best place right now --- they will give her antibotics to fight the infection. I'm adding your daughter to my prayer list and will think of her. FYI, my eldery mother is getting better as we speak --- like I said, it is very treatable.

Prayers for your little one

Prayers for your daughter are on the way. My oldest son gets pneumonia nearly every year. No hospitalizations for him, but be assured this is highly treatable. Your little one will be ok, just give her a few days with the medicine...

I've had pneumonia more times than I can remember. (Strep throat as well when I was little.) Since I usually have such an easy time of it, it's hard for me to imagine that it's such a dangerous thing.
But, in the greymatter, I do know that it is. So you've got my prayers. One thing that helped me, water. Lots of water to drink. And the meds. No matter how awful they taste, she's gotta take them. Even if they give her the purple cough syrup that is best described as bottled whale yarp.
(I'm one of those types that hates to go to the hospital for anything. The docs have to threaten to admit me before I'll take my meds...)
Stay safe, keep her comfortably warm. And tell her no strenuous activity.
