Oh wait, I mean ANOTHER attack

I didn't see it, but I read the description on FreeRepublic. Sounded like the senator had received some particularly good scotch recently from a grateful constituent or lobbyist. I guess alcoholics need their voice in Washington and Teddy is a very effective spokesman for that underserved group.

Two vocal critics of unilateral military action found evidence of Iraq malfeasance in the presentation but remain unconvinced that the United States should go to war without the U.N. Security Council's backing -- or, barring that, a formal declaration from Congress. "Especially lacking that international support, if the Security Council cannot agree on a course of action for Iraq, the president ought to seek a formal declaration of war from Congress before any attack," said Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va.
"The foreign policy implications of (unilateral actions) would be profound and disastrous," said Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.
Sorry. Didn't clarify. No "unilateral" (with all our 8 gazillion allies) action, sayeth the Bloated One.

This is from Neal Boortz's Neals Nooze today re: Powell's U.N. speech yesterday. Anyone in Miami area know who this POS is? He's giving my old profession a REAL bad name.
THERE ARE SOME LIBERAL TALK SHOW HOSTS
"I know, I was listening to one from Miami yesterday. Name was Richard Somethingorother. After listening to Powells presentation to the U.N. Security Council this host said that it was evident that Harry Belafonte was right about Colin Powell. He referred to George Bush as Princess George and said that he was just trying to exact revenge for his father, George the First, who didnt have the balls to finish the job with Saddam. He then managed to turn his statements on Powells presentation to a rant on Enron and Kenny Boy Lay.
And you wonder why leftists cant make a real name for themselves in talk radio."

At least he had his pants on yesterday and didn't seem to be slurring his words. JD & pork, mmm-mmm good. *barf*

Powell is *still* testifying! Answering inane questions and allegations from Dims. Talking about NK, Mid East, Terrorism.
One of them asked him if all the war would do is de-stabilize the area (and incite Muslims)? Powell responded that countries recognized (particularly Euro countries) that they were taking a risk. But felt that it must be done--that the situation couldn't continue to be ignored.
Long morning for Powell---don't they ever need to visit the head??
heh

We've already seen what happens when you don't do anything, you get attacked. I know, let's try something new! Let's try to stop them! If we get attacked, well then what else is new?

Dims STILL hand-wringing about the AXIS of Evil term! Askijng if Bush consulted with any of his admin before using that term. Calling it "designed neglect".
Powell hated that. The Dem was smug and stated she understood he wouldn't agree with that characterization. (Some Calif. female Senator--missed the name)

Yeah, he just ripped her a new one over her comment about US foreign policy being one of "designed neglect". He rattled off a series of accomplishments and initiatives to back up his claim. Ms. Boxer looked like she had a bad case of "gas" while she was listening.

Their hatred for this administration is unbelievable. They set themselves up for the fall and then look like they've accomplished something?
Yeah- looking like a fool.
