California: Democrat Governor Davis will be served with recall papers on Wednesday
San Diego KOGO AM600, Roger Hedgecock Show

Ted Costa, of Paul Gann's group People's Advocate, just announced on the Roger Hedgecock Show in San Diego that a People's Advocate process server will be serving recall papers on Governor Gray Davis on Wednesday, February 5. Costa and his group has been involved in over a dozen ballot petition drives and has qualified every one of them that's he's undertaken. A recall drive will require around 1.2 million signatures to get a recall election on the ballot.
Costa said that contrary to what most people think, a recall can occur at any time after an election. It's only if a recall fails that a 6 month waiting period must be observed before another recall can be attempted. He cited the case of Paul Horcher, whose recall was initiated "within hours" of his election.
The People's Advocate website is not yet up, but will carry information about the recall effort in a few days.

"The average California voter wouldn't vote to recall Davis even if he were in their living room searching the sofa's seat cushions for spare change. It ain't gonna happen." Nonsense! - The average Californian didn't even vote for Doofus. - There were far more votes against him than for him in the last election.

What's the time frame to gather the required signatures?
To: Redcloak
That's why I said before, I almost, hope this passes.
When it comes time to pay three times more for their vehicle registration, you'll see people throwing fits. LOL! A real kick in the teeth is what some of these idiots need.
I mean it takes a real moronic idiot to vote for imported leftist from the eastcoast, like Boxer and Davis. I live in Cal and I say, if it happens, they deserve it.

I'll sign it but who do we get in his place? Bustamante? Good heavens. That would be even worse. Wanna bet ol' Cruz will be praying that this doesn't succeed? Can you picture being in his shoes right now??? Oh man....

I'll sign it but who do we get in his place? Bustamante? Shawn Steel has said that Bustamante does not move to the governor's office of Doofus is removed. There will be *someone* on the ballot as the second question, the first question being shall Doofus be recalled, and the 2nd being shall *Insert name here* be elected to replace him.

I'm so happy that I moved out of Kalifornia in '90 ...Well we are trying our best to get more to move up to your rain country in Oregone. I hope you took some friends with you.
If anyone cares, tune into KFI. They are talking about the New Yorker, Davis.
To: John Jorsett
1.2 million? Pffffft...not a problem. I'll help out however I can.

Is there any way to get more "Dump Davis" stickers? I had a pile of them, and gave them away at the rifle and pistol range, and at gun shows. I still have mine on my car! I was considering taking it off, but now it is relevant!

Thanks for the info. I'll have to concede that I'm perplexed that Davis would object to the car fee hikes. Do I sniff a little fear in the air?
To: .38sw
In case anyone has not heard, Davis has vetoed or has threatened to vetoed this tripling of the vehicle registration fees... It's dead. I guess even the lazy Californians got off their asses and hit the phones and emails....
I knew this would get them off their butts. LOL!
To: DoughtyOne
Yes, it reeks of fear, all coming from Sacramento.
To: GraniteStateConservative
I think you misread California. I'm usually a pessimist, but I think the votes are there to recall him. We may elect another Democrat as his replacement, but on an up or down vote, recall Davis or leave him in place, I bet more than 50% say recall him. It was only because of the terrible candidate Bill Simon that he won this last election.

You're right, lets sit around and take it for the next four years! (/sarcasim)

Agree. Recall the AH from NY. Who gives a damn if he is replaced by another AH. Send the freaking message.
To: John Jorsett
Next to George Ryan & his RAT replacement, I think Gov. Gray out is the WORST Gov ever. Ok, we get him recalled so what then?

This is the second recall petition that I can remember for this goofball. Where do I sign?

Umm, actually with the new tax laws, he is doing EXACTLY that! After all, that's the only money left for most taxpayers under the CURRENT tax/"fee" scheme.
