I think you misread California. I'm usually a pessimist, but I think the votes are there to recall him. We may elect another Democrat as his replacement, but on an up or down vote, recall Davis or leave him in place, I bet more than 50% say recall him. It was only because of the terrible candidate Bill Simon that he won this last election.

Agree. Recall the AH from NY. Who gives a damn if he is replaced by another AH. Send the freaking message.

That's my point. What does this gain you? A stronger Democrat who will be running for RE-ELECTION next time-- that's what. Davis is a bad governor who lost to a bad GOP nominee, but give it a rest. He won, we lost. Live to fight another day-- especially when the next battle against Boxer is quite winnable.
