"What the *$!@ does that mean?"

Why don't you put a sock on it for a while. We would all like to mourn. You however, seem anxious to start a witch hunt. Keep those opinions to yourself for a bit, please.

They're Democrats. Everything that happens is immediately evaluated in terms of how it advances their agenda.

Sounds like the French, also.

Prince Sultan Al-Saud was born on June 27, 1956 in Saudi Arabia. Prince Sultan is the first astronaut of Saudi Arabia, he is also the first Arab that has ever been in space. Before becoming an astronaut in 1985, he was a pilot. He flew aboard Mission 51-G in 1985, shortly after becoming an astronaut

How high can a surface to air missile reach?

Not that high(200,000 feet). But if someone is misusing the GPS (24 satellite global position system), it may be possible. However, I was of the understanding that any targeting of aircraft would be restricted to the Woodpecker Grid which encircles the globe at about 13,000 feet, which was also about the altitude of TWA Flight 800 when it exploded.

But systems are always being improved, to what end or if that is a positive thing - who knows?

LIVE CONFERENCE Continued:

Securing all evidence on the ground, urge anyone who finds stuff, stay away from it, contact local officials. FEMA is conducting gathering of evidence under DeptHomelandSecurity, per Ridge.

They were happy and expectant of the upcoming landing at KSC...the crew were dedicated group, loss of crew is something they will never get over...they will do everything to work thru this tragedy. Ask MEDIA to respect their privacy too...they will HELP MEDIA to respect their privacy...(guy is near tears...)

Buzz Aldrin mentioned this earlier on one of the programs. He used the prefix "Prince" and referred to him as pilot in the Saudi Air Force.........musta been one of the royal family.

Expect to head a lot from Conyers - he hates NASA.

Why does he feel this way:
  1. The low-bid system works against his union cronies.
  2. No major NASA facilities are in his state.
  3. He just plain hates America.
  4. All of the above

Columbia left a huge contrail behind it. I watched it fly over the vegas valley. I saw one bright red spot in the middle of the huge bright light that I assumed must be the ship itself. Then the entire "glow" of the ship seemed to diminish for a second.
I did not think much of either things at the time but it was right after this that they lost communication.

I believe they actually lose radio contact during reentry until they're back in the atmosphere.

Fox reports that some human remains have now been located.

I'll believe it when NASA says so. No one has proved it yet.

My ex-brother-in-law was a policeman in Nacogdoches and he was raised in Woden which is not too far from there.

This is breaking my heart as I was raised in Houston and have been involved in following the space program for many, many years.

God, please hold the families in your arms and allow them to feel your love, comfort and strength.
