Someone refresh my memory ..wasn't it Mandela's "movement " that used tire " necklaces" on their enemies and set them on fire? I believe such terriorism is why he went to jail in the first place..so now they are going to make him a "peace " and "non violent" icon???You beat me to it. I knew someone would bring up the necklaces. The whole Mandela hypocrisy makes me sick.

"I thought I smelled the head RATS fingerprints on this."
Well never thought of it; what I did think when I heard Mandela's disgusting attack being aired . . . is how much Clinton must be loving this.
. . .reading the above, there is no doubt that the 'Clintonesque' factors right in with Mandela.
How very, very. . .evil.
Wondering if O'Reilly has put the two together. . .he gave no indication tonight that he has. . .

I remember that Mbeki issue being in the news for one day and that was it.
Are you from South Africa? I bet South Africa was very different post-apartheid but pre-Nelson Mandela. I lost track as to how things progressed there. Wasn't FW Declerk president after apartheid?
I'm beginning to get depressed as to the amount of things that are covered up. This is why we(esp. myself) have to become critical thinkers.

It wouldn't surprise me. Ol'Slick is probably beging to realize he'll be remembered in the future for his scandals and his failure to take our nation's security seriously. A petty little man like Clinton would resort to trying to diminish another president's successful legacy in a most cheap way. Won't work though, Bill seems to be losing his power of mass delusion.....
To: cyborg
No, I'm not a South African; however, my extended family live there...have done for well over 325 years.
Yes, to all of your other questions.
So much foreign news is held back from Americans. That's one good reason to read FR. :-)

I just view Clinton as a spolied child. He can't get what he wants so he's gonna do what he can to make it miserable for everyone else. He's about as welcome to mainstream America as a turn in the punch bowl.

Nelson Mandela has NO " successful legacy " at all.

Sure hope GW puts lots of safeguards on that $15 billion we're going to waste on AIDS or it will be in Switzerland in Bill's and Nelson's bank accounts in no time.

"Mandela is just a simple fool, and no other excuse is needed."
. . .wish it were so easy to dismiss this man ; but he has assumed a mythic status thanks to the efforts of the 'Left' and acquiessance of our 'Right'.
. . .no doubt plans for his 'sainthood' and cannonization are in the works and will be ready when he is. . .
Some fools are too dangerous to suffer gladly. . .and don't we know it.

" His wife was a terrorist that I know."
. . .yes Winnie, his wonderful wife, preferred 'necklacing' as her choice of torture. Cannot even remember if she went to jail or not for her efforts. Thinking she did. . .
South Africa is worse off than before and just as many poor Blacks there are suffering from racist hate. . .it just comes from the 'new Middle Class of Blacks who mistreat their 'lessors' like slaves.
. .not to mention a host of other Marxist ills that have brought this beautiful country to a ruinous economy and environment.

Doesn't matter what Clinton did/didn't do in this case. Mandela was always a racist opportunist with commie roots--and a carpetbagger to boot--he didn't need Clinton's instigation. BTW, I hear S. Africa has turned into a terrorist's metropolis.

I wish I went to South Africa when I had the opportunity. I heard that Sun City was a wonderful place. However, I'm not going to make comments even in the face of this news. I'm not there to see how things are now. I'm curious as to how middle class blacks are taking advantage of poor blacks. Probably money... everything is money isn't it? This probably mirrors what is going on in India... select few super rich and LOTS of poor people. However, if South Africa didn't have apartheid in the first place, there wouldn't have been this rebellion. At the same time, I am not going to waste more time trying to figure out mankind's faults and foibles. God has His chief reasons for allowing lots of things.

I wouldn't be afraid to bet that every remark made against Bush came shortly after a conversation with Slick, from the French, German's, Canadian's, and Mandooface.
What Slick may be overlooking is that those foreign dimwits don't VOTE over here and their words aren't convincing anyone here of anything. They're just pissing us off!!!

Clinton's legacy will be recorded as amongst the most incompetent, shameful and treasonist administrations in our history...

I think just got to eight years of Clinton and now that we have a man in charge it's a bit of a shock. Clinton sold out this country for the applause of the wacko European left. Now Nelson, who owes much of his power to his marxist brothers in Europe, is paying back his white masters.
