I told my husband that it sounded as though Mandela was being manipulated by the leftists, I just never thought that it would be Clinton, but I should have known.

If this is true, Klintoon's envy/jealousy of Bush appears to be driving him a bit mad. 3 posted on 01/31/2003 10:11 PM PST by Mr. Mojo [

A few months ago I tried a google search on-- Africa, Clinton, Arkansas, diamond mines -- with no results. It seems to me within the last 5-7 yrs there was lots to be said re diamond mines and the clintons. Tell me if I have my facts wrong (please).

Now with Mandela's connection with the Clintons and aids $$$ being raised and US sending over billions - I smell rats!!! Big time!!!! Not one cent would I send.

After these disgraceful comments, Mandela can never be taken seriously again.

I won't forget them soon either.

What a Maroon ! Days after President Bush announces the biggest Aids program, Mandella goes on a fools errand for his Horn-playing buddy.

He is truly a fool and not to be taken seriously ever again.

Your comment--" . . . not one cent would I send."

But G.W. proposed sending $billions to fight AIDS in Africa. So yes, more than a cent you would send--as a U.S. taxpayer, you would be part of sending billions.

This seems an ongoing theme for this administration. Where Clinton was all fluff and no stuff, Bush has substance and character. Examples: Clinton put on a great show of supporting minority involvement in his administration, just not in any significant posts (plus their survival--political and otherwise--wasn't too good); Bush's top two foreign policy advisors are African American. Advantage-Bush. Clinton goes to South Africa and puts on a show of courting Mandela to fight AIDS (what, Clinton didn't know there was a problem when he was president?); Bush uses the forum of the State of the Union to push for a huge investment in fighting AIDS in Africa. Advantage-Bush.

Clinton was constantly hiding behind Hillary's skirts--accused of nepotism during the Democrat debates, he avoided the question and warned the questioner (Brown, I think), "How dare you drag my wife into this." Caught and wriggling about Flowers, he dragged Hillary onto national T.V. to be the dutiful wife and show everyone that it was all okay. Lewinsky was another reason for Hillary to leap to her man's defense--the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, the soulful description of a young Bill being torn between two domineering women who wanted to raise him. It was like a bad, cheap paperback story.

So now Clinton's hiding behind someone else to poke at the administration? Yawn. What else is new?

"Nelson is neither " simple ", nor a " fool ". A stinking Commie, a terrorist, a racist, and yes, an America hater...he's all of those things; always has been."

Fools like Mandela, Jackson, Sharpton, Waters, Darrow (et al) need to be exposed as the fools that they are; else other folks will begin take their words seriously.

Lott compliments an elderly gent on his 100th birthday and becomes a racist!

Bush uses American funds and blood to clean up the world's messes and becomes a racist!

Both of these incidents should be thrown right back into the faces of the 'white-haters' of this world.

GW ought to demand an apology from Mandela for his racist accusation. If the apology doesn't come, the compassion of foreign aid to his country should be withheld.......

I knew it. Clinton is still trying to destroy the country. Now put this with a former Clinton appointee going to N.Korea for secret talks and Clintons buddy in Cuba sounding off about the war in Iraqu and connect the dots. You can bet there is a connection.

I have a full weekend and am only going to be on the computer sporadically.

However, I think a good project for several of us, and one in which I will be willing to help, would be to look at the timing of these types of statements close on the heals of a Clinton visit. It seems to me we should be able to not only chart the relationship, but then look at where Clinton appears next and be able to predict an anti-Bush statement based on that appearance.

As an example, I know that Clinton was at that world banking conference. Based on my theory, I expect to see a group of world financial types announce that they think the US tax cut plan will cause a disruption in world finances.

You beat me to it. I knew someone would bring up the necklaces. The whole Mandela hypocrisy makes me sick.

But it is not PC to point out that he was a murderer..that his wife was a crook and that the blacks are killing the white land owners so they can take their land in that now "PC peaceful land" of South Africa

Hypocrites abound !

to push for diplomacy rather than a military confrontation with Iraq.

Is Mandela going senile? Or, perhaps he has alzheimers now.
His remarks show his true colors, and he should never again be taken seriously as a world statesman.

I could hardly believe the part where he mentioned Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Maybe Mandela has joined the DU.
