I remember, kindergarten, we all lined up for the shot. Hey, remember air raid practices? We were told to crawl under our desks. Like THAT would protect us from a nuke!

Indy, you're an old geezer, like me! I remember diving under our desks, too. We thought it was a hoot - what did WE know? Yeah, that would have really protected us from the dreaded ATOMIC BOMB!!!

Those were the days.

Where I live they also had a program where young people went on top of the roof of a local grocery store watching for UFO's. Not space aliens but planes that were not identifiable.

At 15, I was ontop of that roof not having the slightest idea even what our own planes looked like.

Real great Homeland Security System. :-)
