Hostage released, suspect still holed up in mail truck
Posted on 01/31/2003 9:11:33 AM PST by PhiKapMom
Fox and MSNBC reporting there is postal truck being driven by a woman postal employee that has been hijacked. People are actually approaching the truck as it slows down and one guy just threw his hands in the air as the postal truck drove off!

Guess we'll find out more later but thanks for providing us cable deprived folks with the updates.

Told ya' he would be assimilated. (Right into the jailhouse population!)

Course Bush and Blair have to pretend they have actually been talking about Iraq all day, instead of starin' at the mail truck along with the rest of us.
To: HairOfTheDog
LOL... notice the timing when they came out

Your explanation makes sense, actually.
I know several Miami-Dade cops who have specialized training in terrorism, chemical and biological weapons.
It might have been a training exercise for the rookies, in case we have a terrorist attack in South Florida.
Since I consider the Miami-Dade cops to be some of the best in the world, your explanation, if correct, will satisfy my original concerns.

Maybe he was looking for
rebate checks to support his
methamphetamine habit. That's what they
caught a local postal supervisor doing with the US Mail (his wife turned him in).

Time: Yeh, about a half an hour after he likely chugged the water.

Maybe they've been having showers to appear fresh and clean for the cameras. :)

You're absolutely right, especially here in Florida.
Most of our violent criminals are recidivists; until recently we had a generous early release program that allowed thousands of violent felons to be released automatically after serving 2/3 of their sentences.
Then you add up the fact that most judges give out the lightest sentences possible, you will be surprised at seeing the same face mugging you every other year.
We ask our LEOs to risk their lives to apprehend these pervs, and then the system fails, allowing the pervs out in a few months.

No one has asked the all important question...
How is the left going to pin this situation on Jeb???
But anyway, it now appears a spike strip was used and blew out tires right before the postal truck came to a stop. I knew I was not seeing things. It happened so quick and the media never reran that portion of the tape. : )

It was practice for when we bomb saddam. We havent had any practice in a while : )
Its going to be so hard to get anything done once the war starts. I hope we can share our housecleaning techniques again.
Dog, again, just throw a little bleach in the toilet and house smells like you cleaned and also cleans the toilet : )

Dusting has become much easier thanks to the SWIFFER. You can even buy the swiffer mitt now : )
The swiffer mitt! Dusting that wont interfere when the bombs start falling.
Use the Swiffer Mitt anywhere you normally dust, as well as on these items:
- Swiffer Mitts can be used on hard surfaces throughout your home!
- Clean window blinds quickly and easily.
- Remove dust from television screens and cabinets.
- Use the Swiffer Mitt to hand dust furniture.
- Clean chair rails and wood trim.
- Computer monitors and electronic equipment can be safely cleaned with the mitt.
- Perk up plants by using the mitt to clean the dustworks on real plants and artificial ones, too.
- Like Swiffer, the Mitts pick up dust/dirt, hair, and common allergens.
- Wipe away the dust on the dashboard of your car.
- Clean the top of appliances such as refrigerators and microwaves.
- Clean air conditioning and heating vent covers.
- Safely and gently clean collectibles and knickknacks.
- Clean up around the dryer including the dials and dryer top.
- Cover the hard-to-reach places like the little grooves in stairwell banisters.
- Dust bookshelves and booksit's safe to use on leather and hardbound books.
- Use inside closets and around closet shelving.
- Clean windowsills.
- Clean pet hair from the bottom of a dog's cage.
